Hi all. I had not taken a look here in Edmunds chat rooms since I purchased my 2K SSEi in October of 1999, but, it's nice to see there are a group of proud Bonneville owners and that there appears to be serious discussion here.
In addition to posting our 2 seconds of fame from the fall issue of Pontiac Magazine, I wanted to stir up some interest in old 2k owners thinking of buying a new one as I want to.
Despite the fact that my SSEi (the white one) has been "significantly enhanced" and has embarrased a lot of German made cars, I am thoroughly unhappy with GMs decision not to enhance the HP in 2002. The last insult to injury was the advertisement on Friday which announced the 255hp Maxima and 240hp Altima (yes I know the SSEi's torgue is signicantly greater).
I am very happy with my 2K and it still turns heads. I would like to see something in the order of a 300hp SSEi with a set of Z-rated Michelin Pilots (they are nice!), unique wheels, an even more of enhanced audio system. If they can't do it with the normal stock, a limited edition would be great. (maybe they could even raise the governor limits)
I've gone so far as to call GMs executive office suggesting they make a mid-year correction to keep pace with Nissan, Acura, and Lincoln's GS at the least. I wonder if anyone will hear my cry. |

I would have gladly paid a little extra for some more HP. I will just have to do that myself. (After a few more miles) How many miles do you have on your SSEi and what problems, if any have you experienced? What modifications does your car have? |

here is one from a day at the track - in Luskville Quebec. I went with the grand Prix club - there were over 20 GP's and me.
Notice the little things :
ice bag on the intake to cool it down. the car does not have a headache !
the pile of stuff in front of the car - gotta loose weight in a hurry to go better times.
the beautifully stark scenery in the background. this place is in the middle of nowhere.

With a shine like that I might just have to try some of that stuff. Looks great... |

| I set the first one as my wallpaper. | |

What a great looking Bonneville. If I didn't have one already I'd surely be convinced after seeing those! Ken |

whats the emoticon for blushing ? thanks guys . . . Zaino and Low light - the perfect combo for superb picture taking . you have about 30 minutes to park it near something green - circle it and click from every angle to get the results . . . im still looking for a better background though - can you imagine I'll ever find something to complete with a clean black Bonne ?
