Does anyone know if the 2005 has a timing belt, chain, or what? When we bought our van, the dealer told us that most likely it would need timing work around 70-75,000 miles. We are at 60,000 now and would like to know if anyone else had this work done around the 70,000 mile mark? Thanks, Laura

You actually believe that there are 2 different types of timing belts? To me it is just a gimic. If it will last 105k in California, why won't it last that long in the rest of the country? If you have a 02 thru 05 Sedona, check your rear heater hose`s &pipes. They have a rust problem with the metal heater pipes.A fix is under warranty.(just look to the right of the spare tire) Had my sister-in-laws done under warranty.

Has anyone had to replace a starter on a Kia Sedona? My 02 Sedona currently has 69K miles and is needing a starter replacement. The starter still works but is drawing to much power from the battery when cranking. With the engine off the battery voltage is 12.75v and when you crank the engine the voltage goes down to 5v - 7v. Once the engine is running the battery voltage will go up to 14v which show that the alternator is working. I just thought that 69K miles was kind of premature for a starter to go out. If anyone has replaced their starter - did you do it yourself and was it hard to get to? I can't find any information on how to change out the starter. Thanks

I am in California and I know it is an emissions problem. The smog is due with my registration this month and we cannot find the problem. Any ideas?
