Replying to: joanc (Mar 17, 2007 2:52 pm) Tire Plus Sizing 2007 EX models come with 17" rims and Michellen 235/60/17 tires which are not really common.

Hi all... ..I own an '03 Kia Sedona EX that I've put several chrome accessories on. However, I haven't been able to find chrome mirror covers ANYWHERE, including the internet. (It's been easy for me to find them for the Sorento, but not the Sedona). Does anyone have any suggestions? Many thanks in advance...Joan |

Hi-We purchased an '04 Sedona LX which has the rear DVD system, but no remote. When I called the dealer, all he offered was to "order one for me" Obviously it was factory installed-we can't find a model or serial # anywhere. The only thing we think we know is that it is an Audiovox. Before I go spend $220.00 for the dealer to order one, can anyone help with a "What/where to buy ? Thanks in advance . Katinfl.

I'm interested in advice/experiences on this situation. Let me preface by saying I am the mom of 3 young kids with a husband stationed overseas w/ the Army. I have little support and am in the process of moving out of state: My 3 kids, our dog, and I were on our way out of state to see our new house for the first time. The van was COMPLETELY loaded down w/ clothes, dishes, cleaning supplies, etc. About 40 mins down the road, while on cruise on the interstate, I hear a very loud clicking sound coming from the engine. The oil light comes on and about 30 secs later, as I'm trying to pull off the interstate, a loud "snap" and something flies loose under the van. All warning lights come on, engine stops. Luckily, we roll to the side of the interstate. Nothing would happen when I turned the key. Got towed and the mechanic says the engine is "baked". Oil had exploded all over and there was nothing to do but tow to the dealer. Ofcourse the next day we have a major snow storm (today) and no one can get to it till Monday. My BIL who is out of state and airplane mechanic says it sounds like I "threw a rod"??? As I said, we are in the process of moving out of state and are now stranded w/ no vehicle. My hubby is in Iraq and I don't know what to do. Can anyone give me some advice on what the problem may be/whether its covered under warrant/expected cost to fix it? My 04 Sedona has 58,000 miles on it. I know no one can diagnose a problem on line, but have you had a similar situation? Just looking for advice since it's Saturday and I'm stranded, freaking out b/c I have no vehicle, no husband, 3 young kids, and am broke! THANKS! Ally

Replying to: allyspc (Dec 15, 2007 9:33 am) ..so sorry to hear that happened to you. What a stressful situation! I haven't broken down in our van with my twins yet, but if I ever did, I'd be freaking out, too. But try to remember that since the van has bumper-to-bumper coverage to 60K (or 5 years), plus the 100K/10-yr powertrain warranty, you should be fine. It sounds like you'll be getting a new engine, I'd imagine. It's just one of those unfortunate things but at least none of you were involved in an accident when the engine blew. Hope your move goes o.k. and that you can be with your hubby soon! -Joan |
