#4455 of 4592 ABS Light and strange noises
Oct 16, 2006 (6:32 am)
We have a 2004 Kia Sedona. When I am coming to a stop the car brakes make a nasty squaking sound and they bind up. Sometimes I'm not sure the car will stop. The ABS light is on now all the time. I've had it to 2 dealers and they are telling me nothing is wrong as the computer is not giving them any codes. They wanted to sell me a new battery, new brakes. I had the front brakes replaced but the noise is still there, and the ABS light continues to come on and stay on. The dealership can never get the car to make the noise, yet it does it for me driving out of the dealership and several times per day. Any ideas? thanks, Ginny

Glad to hear you're wife walked away almost unscathed. My daughter performed an almost identical test a few years back in a 3 month old Corolla. It was beyond economic repair, I expect your van was too.

Also I forgot to mention that our Kia Sedona Van (2005) doesn't handle very well in the rain. Does anyone have that problem also? We haven't gotten snow yet this year where I live so I have no idea how it will handle snow. Any comments would be appreciated.
