We have been fighting with our Kia dealer (Donnelly Kia in Ottawa, ON). Back in 2003 our windshield cracked (without being hit by anything), like many other 2002 Sedonas with the automatic wipers. We brought it in, in Oct 2003, they ordered the windshield but we needed the car so they said they would call when it was in. My husband had found many others with the same problem on this site (apparently thinner glass was originally installed on that model & they were replacing it with thicker glass once they cracked) and they were going to replace it under warranty. Well, we didn't get around to getting right back when they called to say the windshield was in - we didn't have another reliable vehicle, my husband needed the van to go to work & I was busy with the farm, etc, then the dealership moved to a further location. We finally got in last month & now they won't replace it, calling it a "stone chip". Well, there is a small chip but from the other accounts it sounds like this is what happens when the glass buckles.
They also charged us for flushing the transmission as we had not done so according to the "instructions." The van had been sluggish going to 2nd gear, revving too high. Mileage under 70,000 km. They wouldn't cover it.
My mom also bought one (2003 or 2004) & has not been happy with the service.

Are there any differences in sedona Ex 2005 comparing to 2004? I have an option of buying either 2004 (new) or 2005 (new) .. with a $2000 difference. I appreciate if somebody can help me in deciding on this.

I just purchased my 2004 EX for $19,700 which was part of the $5,000 incentive they had going. Love it so far... Only 400 miles on it..

How come all the sites only show $3k? Anybody know?

Perhaps the rebates vary by region? I saw on TV that in Florida the rebate is currently $5000.
Amazing prices to be had considering thats before you even negotiate at the dealer.
Think about it....you can get a fully loaded to the max Sedona for a little more than a nice Ford Focus.

I'm in the Pacific Northwest. I saw the TV ad too which is why I was puzzled. Oh well, maybe the sites are not updated yet.

The rebates vary by region. I called Kia regarding another matter and while on hold a recording gives you a rundown of their current rebates by model and region. I was surprised that some regions get up to $2000 more in rebates on some models.

Not only are the rebates by region, but by model year. The $5,000 rebates that have been advertised on the Sedona lately are for model year 2004 models only. If all you dealer has on the lot are '05s then you are out of luck.
We've got 7,500 miles on our '04 now and are still loving everything except the gas mileage. We've never even managed 20mpg, with most tanks hovering around the 16mpg mark. I expect this to improve as the engine wears in and it gets warmer. It had better. My wife really wanted an SUV but I talked her out of it because of poor gas mileage. It is embarrasing that our minivan gets worse gas mileage than my father-in-law's Chevy Tahoe with a 350 V8.
