I just bought a 2009 Highlander Sport with the v6 engine. I am a little frustrated because the sticker gives mpg as 18/24. I just looked at my average mpg and it says 16.3. I just got rid of my Mercedes ML 350, which is supposed to get worse gas mileage, but the average for my Mercedes has averaged better that the Highlander thus far. I do probably 2/3 city and 1/3 hwy driving. Any suggestions?

| I just purchased a new Toyota Highlander limited fwd a few weeks ago. I noticed after a few days that there is significant cabin vibration on a cold engine start. It happens when I put it in reverse or drive, but not so much in neutral. After I drive it for a few minutes the problem seems to go away. I did some research and saw some forums with similar posts on the 2008 models, but I never saw anyone get a satisfactory resolution to the issue. Does anyone else have this same problem? If so, did you get it fixed? I would appreciate any info I can give to the dealership to have them try to correct the issue. | |

fully loaded 08 highlander limited demo with 3000 miles. Ext paint black, with ash int. Nav, leather, heated seats, i pod connection, hands free phone, sun roof, auto rear hatch, exhaust chrome tip, alloy rims, tint, every dealer add on, only thing missing based on the advertised options is DVD system MSRP $41,200 $7000 off for being a demo $2000 for using Toyota financing. ( already have my credit union ready to refi and lower the rate about 3%) It was the advertised memorial day special in the paper. I was lucky i got there early as there were two other pending offers from folks that saw it after i starting working the numbers with the sales guys. Overall I think i got a new car for a used car price. |
