Hi,
I am shopping for a 2009 Highlander with V6 and 4WD. Just curious, the price you paid includes Taxes, destination and other charges?

Like to know what others are paying for this model?

Good Luck with your new Highlander

Price included everything but taxes (in MO, you pay them separately at the DMV when you register the car). They had a good number of V6 models on the lot, but we never got a quote for one as we were set on the 4 cyl for the gas mileage.

I would like to buy a Limited and all I'm finding are empty lots. The state's largest Toyota dealer has 3 base models and 6 or so Hybrids. They have a 9-acre empty lot out back.

I have been looking for 2 weeks around Richmond Virginia and west as far as Harrisonburg in the Valley. Also checked web sites for dealers in the D.C. area and at the beach. Two here, three there, and nothing but ugly colors and oddball option packages left. IOW, no I don't want a Limited with the standard stereo and no XM.

What a waste of time. I finally called Toyota about when to expect the 2010 Highlander. She was pleasant and didn't have a clue. She didn't even know there was a shortage of Highlanders.

I wonder if the Lexus dealer has an RX on the lot?

Aw, what the heck, my Avalon just turned 37,000 miles. I don't need a new Toyota and they certainly don't need me.

I think part of the issue is that since they're made in Japan for the US market, and I believe the factory is currently shut down, no one can get new ones to replenish their stock. There are great prices right now, but they really only apply to cars that the dealers currently own. I thought we could go into this and order exactly what we wanted, but that's not the case right now.

4 cyl or 6 cyl? What equipment? Does 24,688 include the $1000 rebate, or did you take the financing? Does it also include all fees other than taxes? Hard to know how you did without that info.

this car is as base as you can get-4 cyl with roof rack and 60 mi on the speedo. driveout price included everything. no financing. gave them a check and a '98 f150 supercab with faded paint, rusty bed, and a check engine light on for trade-in. KBB has this truck valued at about 2500K for a trade-in.

Well...the issue is that Toyota is offering a $1000 rebate on all Highlanders in other regions. In your region, they're only offering a rebate on the Hybrid version. So, given that, you did pretty good, paying about $300 more than the Edmunds TMV. In a region like the midwest, you'd be able to get about another $1000 off.

2009 Highlander Sport gas mileage by nsteffens

I just bought a 2009 Highlander Sport with the v6 engine. I am a little frustrated because the sticker gives mpg as 18/24. I just looked at my average mpg and it says 16.3. I just got rid of my Mercedes ML 350, which is supposed to get worse gas mileage, but the average for my Mercedes has averaged better that the Highlander thus far. I do probably 2/3 city and 1/3 hwy driving. Any suggestions?
