Remember, your salesperson could be at a Chrysler or GM dealership right now. They're motivated to get your business, because some good sales guys will be dropping resumes off soon. |

"I am shopping for a 2009 Highlander with V6 and 4WD." I would like to buy a Limited and all I'm finding are empty lots. The state's largest Toyota dealer has 3 base models and 6 or so Hybrids. They have a 9-acre empty lot out back. I have been looking for 2 weeks around Richmond Virginia and west as far as Harrisonburg in the Valley. Also checked web sites for dealers in the D.C. area and at the beach. Two here, three there, and nothing but ugly colors and oddball option packages left. IOW, no I don't want a Limited with the standard stereo and no XM. What a waste of time. I finally called Toyota about when to expect the 2010 Highlander. She was pleasant and didn't have a clue. She didn't even know there was a shortage of Highlanders. I wonder if the Lexus dealer has an RX on the lot? Aw, what the heck, my Avalon just turned 37,000 miles. I don't need a new Toyota and they certainly don't need me. beachfish... aka John
