Hi-- need some advice on purchasing a new car. I received 3 online quotes for a 2009 sport edition 2WD-- options including the following

JBL AM/FM 6-Disc In Dash CD Changer with ... 630.00Hands-Free Phone Capability via Bluetooth ..Wireless Technology, XM Satellite Ready ....Capability (Requires a XM receiver), .......MP3/WMA Playback Capability and 9 Speakers .(including subwoofer) in 7 locations .......Cold Weather Package Includes: Heated ...... 60.00Power Outside Mirrors, Windshield Wiper ....De-icer Grid ...............................Homelink Universal Transceiver ............. 125.00Special Color .............................. 220.00Manual Rear Air Conditioning System ........ 385.00w/ Rear Vents for 2nd & 3rd Row ............Power Tilt/Slide Moonroof w/Sunshade ....... 850.00Tow Prep Package includes: 5,000lbs ........ 220.00towing capacity, Heavy Duty Radiator .......w/Engine Oil Cooler, 240 watt fan ..........coupling, Transmission Oil Cooler w/ Water .Cooler, 150 amp alternator, and Pre-Wire ...Harness ....................................EVP Package Support - QF ...................Carpet/Cargo Mat - 3 Row Seating ........... 275.00

Basically: MSRP $33,510; the best deal I was offered so far is $29,415 (includes destination fees) I still will have to pay for taxes and other fees. Is this a fair deal? Or is there still a lot more room to negotiate. The other 2 dealers were maybe a couple hundred dollars above this. Thank-you in advance for any advice.

Please Help! 2009 Highlander price by nissan1207

Hi,

I need to make a decision soon regarding the 2009 Highlander (not hybrid). Here's what I need in terms of options:

SR
QB
QM
TO
RL
EH

Here are the prices from Edmunds:

MSRP 32,395
Invoice 29,024
TMV 29,657

This is in the state of Washington - so there's a 9% sales tax

Adding the 9% tax to the above prices, I get:

MSRP 35,311
Invoice 31,636
TMV 32,326

What's a good price that I should pay for the car? How does 32,000 OTD including TTL sound?

Please help!!

Thanks a lot!

well it is a Base model, 2WD and what ever comes with standard fittings in a Base model. Nothing fancy.

Just wondering if anyone can share what the dealer hold-back is on the 09 Highlander. Are there any other variables we should know about when negotiating price? I think I've read before that Toyota isn't as aggressive as even Honda is with their pricing...

thanks for the info!

Hi,

I got a bunch of dealers willing to sell the 09 Highlander limited edition AWD with QH (pkg 7) for 34,900 + TTL. This is in the state of washington.

Any comments on the price?

I am interested in buying a new Toyota Highlander for a number of reasons, but primarily because Toyota is offering 0%. Is there any catch to this program? Anyone have experience is going through the process. I know my credit is good enough to qualify, but just wondering if there is a catch.

Any and all responses are appreciated. I'm new to buying cars and would really appreciate the advice.
