Hi, new to this forum and it is very helpful. Would love your thoughts on the following deal: 2008 AWD Sport Black with Black interior cloth Options: Cold Weather Package Anti theft Moonroof Tow Prep Mudguards Carpet/Cargo mat Remote Start MSRP: 34,338 Invoice: 30,841(includes destInation fee of 650, TDA of 500 Dealer Holdback of 628, Wholesale Financial Reserve 314) Midwest dealer willing to sell it to me for 30,841-2500 Rebate =28,241 +TTL. ( I guess it might be a little more since tax is on the pre-rebate price) Good deal or not? I figure I have about 930 of negotiating room which is the holdback + financial reserve)?? Also could get the same car + leather, cd, power rear door, dual climate, cross bars etc for 31,297 +TTL Thanks alot in advance!

Replying to: bobsakamanoff (Jan 12, 2009 12:23 pm) Do most people feel that a new 2008 at this point has had the same amount of depreciation as a used 2008 with only a few thousand miles. i.e. should you negotiate it like its a used vehicle Also has anyone had any success negotiating the TDA or is this advertising fee generally not reimbursed to dealers? |

Replying to: iski (Jan 19, 2009 7:13 am) Can you provide more details on the deal you got? Sounds like what I am looking for. I'm thinking about an AWD Sport w/leather, nav, dual climate, and cold weather pack. Also, for all users, I have been shown "demo" units, how much should the dealer be willing to discount a vehicle which has a few thousand miles on it? And should that be on top of any rebates for new car, or do you forfeit new car rebates on demos? I'm really hoping to find an 08 with the options listed above for around $28K, am I being realistic? Thanks in advance. |
