What you pay is what they list the car for. No surprises. 2.Yes, you can take advantage of the rebate or add it back into the price and take advantage of the zero % financing up to 60 months. Basically, unless you are trading in a vehicle or putting down at least 25% then the financing may be a better deal. I took the $5,000 off the price because the numbers worked better for me that way. 3. Yes in most cases, because the car will be financed out of North Carolina. 4. I had my car delivered, I bought it 5. You would have to ask them directly on holding a car. I would imagine that they would want some sort of deposit but that's between both parties. Added note. The price listed was exactly what I paid. Sales tax I am paying to the State of Virginia directly. I have a 30 day NC temp tag and I will register the car in Virginia and pay whatever licensing fees that are required. Another option is purchasing the vehicle and having a auto carrier pick up the car and deliver it to you. You can find them on the internet. Hope this helps. |

My previous experience is that when you buy a car out of state, you get a temporary tag -- then when you go to register the car in your home state (and get license plates) you pay your state's sales tax. In other words, you don't pay any sales tax to the other state. This was my experience when I purchased a car in MD -- I live in VA |

I found out that the price I paid for delivery was a mistake. I did pay $300 but it was accidently mis-quoted and the price should have been $500. The dealership realized their error (after they quoted) and didn't charge me the difference but I wanted everyone to be clear that if they live in Richmond-north the price to deliver would be higher (I was wondering how they could deliver so cheaply).

| I am curious what people think is a good lease rate on a Limited with about $3K of extra options, which in NC would make the Cap Cost just about $28,700. I would prefer to buy it outright, but given the fact that I am really hard on cars, will most likely be right at 15K miles each year and it is being used a family transport with 2 young kids, it just makes more sense to lease at this point. At any rate, I was wondering what kind of money factor I would be looking at and what the depreciation should be for a 3 or 4 year lease. Any help would be greatly appreciated. | |
