One thing I would explore is whether the dealer with any certainty can guarantee the delivery date on the vehicle. If they cannot or say it is an estimated time I would be weary to commit financially in anyway. They could keep moving the date back until the vehicle can be found or arrives a month later. Just something I would ask about first. A large volume dealer here in my area SoCalif, have told it would be "a couple of weeks" before the 2009 are in transit, however they would order a 2009 any way I wanted it to be. I did'nt feel the warm and fuzzy with that. I am still focused on a 2008. Let us know what you hear. |

I bought this 2002 Highlander for 11,000. It has 42k on it. Came complete with Nav and wheels. It's a 4cyl, but enough power for my needs. As you know, it's basically a Camry on Steriods.

Well, the (bad) news is out about September US Toyota sale figures were released earlier today. Sales plummeted 32.3%. I don't know what this will mean on the ground for those looking to buy a Highlander in the coming weeks??? I noticed that one of the local So Calif. volume dealers has posted something VERY curious today. Yes they do offer a $1000 cash back. This has not changed for the last three months. Very disappointing. But even more curious is the fact the dealer totally took out any mention of financing options or incentives with the individual vehicle description which has always been there. They do have a financing tab on the homepage which mentions financing for September ONLY. Very interesting. Let's here from others experiences out there.

Yes, that indeed is very curious! I have not seen any Oct incentives revealed so far. I am in the Market for an 08 AWD Sport in the NorCal area and was kinda hoping for some nicer incentives for Oct. The best offer I got in Sep for an 08 AWD Sport with Moonroof, JBL, rear a/c (MSRP around $34.9K) was $28.5k +T&L. I personally feel this car should sell around 27k given the market conditions and all. Well! we'll see how things go |

Just got this from dealer in NorCal The new incentives for this month are as follows. $1500 Factory Rebate or 0% for 36 months, 1.9% for 48 months, or 2.9% for 60 months. |
