hi there, i almsot bought a highlander 08 model, limited, 4x4 with navi, rear climate control, front heated seats, moonroof, and power rear door in S. CA for 36612 before 1000 cash rebate. also asked dealer to throw in all weather cargo mat for the trunk and the front seat with cargo net. the vehicle has the exact interior and exterior colors of my choice. they also offered me financing with 5.85% for 60 months. suggestions are welcome.

I read online that the 2009 base price moves up $518. Also they will be offering a 4 cyl version come January. Has anyone seen anything with respect to the timing on the 2009 and any changes?? The model will be one year old come Oct 1....

Replying to: notsofast3 (Sep 01, 2008 5:48 pm) It seems odd that Toyota releases the Highlander the new year model so late compared to all the other competitors in the same vehicle style. As of now I think it makes no sense to buy a 2008 unless it was a "model year clearence rate" because now it really is a "year back" compared to all the other manufacturers with competing vehicles. What do you think. Like to see others comment on this. Am I out line here? I am located in So Calif.

I also saw this article that mentions that the horsepower and mpg go up markedly. This seems a little too good to be true. Anybody else got anything to offer??? http://www.kifm.com/sponsor/KIFMGreenPage.cfm I have to believe that the 2009 will be released in September so no need to buy a 2008 unless you're getting a great deal. |
