NEW 2007 Highlander AWD 3tr Row (Model 6928A) Cold Weather Package Power Drivers seat Daytime Running Light Towing Prep Package Extra Value Package #6 Back in 03 we purchased our Ody EXL DVD and I said that our next car would be a Highlander. Sure enough, we get one, but not without pains. CRV was too much at the time since it is the hottest car out there. My price $26,000. This does not include the taxes, DMV, NO PREP fees. No Trade in. Experience: After a long discussion on the price we left the dealership. Like always a phone call comes with a counter offer and I place $500 deposit. Next dat I was given the VIN so I can get it to my insurance company, I also look up the vin on the dealerships inventory and I am satisfied. Here is where it almost went wrong. On the day of pickup, they tried to rush us out the door, and it turns out (THANKS TO MY LOVELY WIFE and HER SHARP EYES) that it was a FWD, wrong interior and MSRP of $28. We brought it up to them and said that this is not the car we negotiated on. We threatened to leave AGAIN, and they ask for 10 min. Wouldn't you know it, they had one in the OTHER lot, exact car I listed above and same color. HHHmmm and already prep. Anyway, I got our car, and my price and just wanted to go home.

When the survey comes to us in a couple of weeks, do I rate them poorly when I don't have proof that they tried to scam me. I know that it doesn't look bad, but I feel like 90% of me says they tried to pull a fast one on us.

Replying to: spm1695 (Jul 07, 2007 1:23 pm) Green Packages: EJ, FE, NE, PE, RL, VP, CF and two after factory add-ons that listed for a total of $715 on the sticker. MSRP 29909 Invoice 27043 Price 27500 Buy or Lease Did not take offer. Felt I could have gotten a Pilot with more features for a better price. I was looking for a great deal on the last 07 Highlander on the lot, 31st of the month, end of model year and a very wet day in Louisiana. Might kick myself in the morning. |
