I got a 4 cyl AWD red highlander with SR,AW,PG,MG,AWCF for 26,000 in Rhode Island. Thanks for all the help from this forum, I emailed several dealers, and was able to negotiate a decent price by email and phone - I only had to go to dealer to sign papers. I took special financing instead of cash back.

I'm getting a price of $30K even for a 2005 HL 6cyl. AWD w/ 3rd row with the Leather Package and Sunroof (LP, SR, HE, JY, AG, EJ) and the MSRP is $33,995. I think I can do a bit better (and suspect that ultimately the two dealers both bidding for the sale will come off this figure). Anyone else recently buy this in eastern massachusetts?

thanks - the board is extremely helpful.

HL 4-cyl/7-seat by selfshift

I'm looking for a basic 7-seat 4-cylinder (I'd like side & curtain airbags but I don't think they ship any optioned like that to the Southeast). I'm located in North FL so I have the Atlanta, Jacksonville, Tampa, Orlando and So. FL markets within range. I'm reading posts talking of several hundred UNDER invoice and, further, minus the rebate (currently listed on edmunds as being $1250). In my case it would come to a price before tax/tag/reasonable fees (say $399) of $22,930 (invoice) - $300 (say $300 under invoice) - $1250 (rebate) = $21,380. I wish this holds water, can anybody out there confirm? Also, has anybody seen any lease deals being offered in the Southeast area? With Memorial day coming up, I'm hoping for a good deal.... Thanks a bunch.

Just bought a AWD V6 .... by vs1956

This website has been very useful. So I have to decided to share my experience. I purchased a AWD V6 in April with the following options: FE,HD,EJ,SR,TO,EH,LF,RL,LP,AG,JY,CF,R7 for $28,600 ( including $750 discount). The MSRP for this was $34528 and the invoice was $30125 . So it came to $1525 below invoice. I did a lot of my homework on the web initially and then tried to use e-mail to get quotes from a dozen local dealers which I thought was a waste of time . The quotes were too high over invoice. Finally I visited a few of them and settled on IRA Toyota at Millford,MA . They were nice and easy to deal with and it was a pleasant experience. I even traded a 13 year old reliable car for a decent price. Overall I am happy with the car and the dealer and I thank this website for making me an informed buyer.

Arizona - Prices paid & Dealership Experience by iberv

Can anyone provide feedback on their pricing & purchase experience in Arizona?
Am looking for a new 2005 Toyota Highlander FWD (2w/drive). (Might consider demo.)
Anyone disappointed with the 4 cyl? Is the 6cyl a better bet even w/reduced mpg?

Your time is appreciated.....

On March 16, '05, I bought from internet dept of Scott Toyota in Scottsdale. VERY pleasant experience, all done thru email/phone, as I am 100 miles away. Got '05 Highlander Limited in Salsa Red V6 2wd. MSRP was $33,714. I Paid $30,280, then they took off the $750 rebate, I think it is now $800.

re: V6 vs 4cyl....I chose V6 due to higher expectations on resale value. Recent round trip to Vegas returned 25mpg overall...about 50 miles of city driving in Vegas, and A/C use at all times. AND, I don't drive slowly... Very satisfied....

2005 HL w/ LP, SR, HE, JY, AG, EJ and a few other small options; MSRP of $34,100. Paid $29,800 at IRA in Danvers. But be warned, they are relentless with the extended warranty sales pitch. It took 30 minutes of refusing to buy it before we finally told them if they offered it one more time, we were walking out.

Getting HL for below invoice... by dawnee

For the ones of hyou that are getting prices $3,000+ under invoice, can you share if you are having to negotiate heavily to get this price or make several trips to the dealership you bought from in order to get it as well.

I can't seem to get the SE Toyota Dealers to budge off MSRP so was just curious. Maybe it is just the SE dealers are hard nosed and won't budge or we are going to have to dig in harder to get a better price.

Buying a car shouldn't have to be this hard and vary this much!

I doubt that we are seeing $3,000 off of INVOICE. I believe that we are seeing $3,000+ off of MSRP (Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price), which is the bottom line on the factory window sticker. I know my price in AZ for a 2005 2wd Limited was $30,280, which is a little more than $3,000 off the MSRP of $33714, and the deal was very easily made over the internet and phone. Final price after the $750 rebate here was $29,530.(+ tax and Lic) Rebate amounts vary in different regions. I believe that invoice on my vehicle was $30,280, but I don't remember for sure.
