You can get the invoice price of a vehicle (once it's available) by building your car on our New Cars page. You'll get the MSRP and the invoice price of your vehicle, plus the TMV - the average price that other buyers in your area have paid.

I know you live in western suburbs. Don't buy from Libertyville Toyota. Its repair shop sucks.

I think I did well at Prestige Toyota in Ramsey NJ. A very professional organization that gave me a very good price (you do have to negotiate), large inventory so my wife could choose from all the different interior/exterior colors, and responsive service dept. (at least so far after one visit); gave me a loaner, which I didn't even know they provided. Bought a LTD w/ all options except DVD and nav. Sales guy went out of his way to help my wife make her choice.
We had previously stopped by Glen Toyota in Fairlawn at 8:00PM one evening for my wife to test drive, and they said to come back tomorrow as it was getting late! They did throw out a price, of about $2K below MSRP but I didn't bother w/ a counter offer as they just didn't seem to care about selling me a car (I had used them for service for a few years, for my old Camry). Glen is a little closer to my home but Prestige seemed more professional and had a larger inventory.

This is probably a late reply for you - but this definitely varies by state. Some only charge tax on the difference, but others charge sales tax on the total price of the new car even if you are trading a vehicle. There is a chart on the Carmax site that tells you which states follow which rule.

I also think I got a pretty good deal at Prestige. Got it for $500 below invoice plus an additional $750 off from the rebate.
Just be warned, they get extremely busy on Saturday and you will not find a sales person to help you out. Your best bet is to go through the internet dept. or during the week.
Also, watch out for the $200 'Processing fee'. They tried adding the $200 this junk fee and I told the sales guy that I wasn't paying the fee and walked out. As I getting into my car, the sales manager came up to me and said they would waive the fee.

What happens to the Incentives/New Highlander prices by gkg

Hi,

I was close to reaching agreement to buy a Highlander in Central Ohio yesterday (4/4/05) but called off the deal because we were several hundred dollars apart from the buying experiences posted on this site as well as Fitzmall prices I do not need a new car right away.

Now that the $750 incentive from Toyota has expired, is another likely to follow? Also, does this automatically mean that the out-the-door price of a new Highlander will be higher this morning?

Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences.

Only Toyota knows the answer to that question.

Yep. Gotta watch those incentives.......

I bought from Piercey Toyota in San Jose, CA. $27,000 out of the door for a MILENIUM SILVER Highlander V6 FWD with AG HE TO JY FE CF.

I went through an internet manager. He did not have a car with this color in stock but he got it from another local dealer for me the next morning.
