Interesting. So looks like they upped the incentives for some of the models. What do you guys think August will bring? Also, Edmunds says that you cant combine dealer incentive with special financing.

2009 civic si coupe price by sibruin

I bought a si coupe with no options or accessories in last month. Here is my deal.

I paid $19500 for the car price including the destination charge. With all the tax and DMV fees(OTD) I paid $21600. (by the way I'm ignoring the last 2 digits of the prices since I can't remeber exactly..)
I didn't paid any kind of dealer doc fees but only those DMV ones.
I also got financed and it was 3.9% for 60 mo.
The tax rate here is 9.75%(LA) now but it was 9.25% when I took the car out.

Hi, I'm helping a friend search for a Civic Coupe EX automatic in the Los Angeles, CA, area.

So far, the lowest quote that I have received is $17,670 + TTL. I have not been able to find a dealer who will beat this price.

What do you folks think of the quote that I have been getting?

Thanks!

4 cyl Accords are much better sellers than the V-6's are so you will always see a lot more of them.

Dealers get no profit if you trade in your clunker. Jsut a mess of paperwork and hassle.

And, yeah, they have to make VERY sure your car actually qualifies. Some cars that we think should, don't!

2009 Honda Civic EX Sedan with Navi - Automatic by dolphnjag99

I have been dealing with five dealerships here in South Florida for this exact model (which some dealerships have four or five on their lot) and the lowest price I received out the door and including the $4,500 cash for clunkers rebate is $16,500 out the door, when other dealerships were coming in at $16,750 and more. is this a good price or can I do more for it. So adding back in the $4,500, it would be a total of $21,000 out the door. Any feedback from anyone on this price. Thanks.

Heres something to consider, you can get an aftermarket radio (kenwood dnx series) with built in Garmin Navigation, Parrot bluetooth, plays dvds, plays mp3s, can add a back up camera, satellite radio, iphone/ipod compatable, for about $1000 cheaper than the stock Honda Navigation. They make kits for the faceplate that will make it look like it came from the factory, and make sure you tell the car stereo place that you want your steering wheel buttons to function property too. But if you think that your $1000 looks better in Hondas bank account than yours, go ahead and get the stock navi system. Just giving you another option....I will be getting my 2009 EX Sedn as soon as they start the Cash for Clunkers...I have gotten a price of $17,515 in central NJ...This is my first post after lurking for months and months.....Thanks for everyone who posts here...I have learned alot by reading these forums....hope to be able to pay it forward....

Thanks Jayviking for the suggestion, as I just might do that. Can you send me a link to this system, as I would have to buy it and get it installed then?

Also, is your price of $17,715 out the door and including the rebate of $3,500 or $4,500???

I love these forums as well!!!!

Jay,

When you did your negotiations, did you mention that you will have a Clunker to trade in, or did you keep it a secret? Also, what fees does the 17,515 include? Thanks.

i have been talking to the dealer via email for about 4 months, prior to the cash for clunkers bill, and as soon as it passed I told her I would be trading in my 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Her price has only changed as the Honda to dealer incentives changed month to month.

The 17,515 is just the price of the car before any taxes or fees and before the CFC. so OTD with taxes DMV and fee's should be around 20,000, then minus the 4,500 CFC i'll be around $15,500

As for the Kenwood, just go to kenwoods website or crutchfeild.com and look at the different models they have that fit into the honda civic. You can spend as anywhere between 700 and 1400 depending on what features you want. Just do some research and find a reputable car stereo shop in your area. They should be able to get the stereo you want, get the dashboard faceplate and do the installation. Make sure you find a good shop, that is very important.
