I have been looking for either an Accord or Civic. Has anyone gotten any good deals on the Civic LX-S in the tri-state area? I looked at a Civic last week and the dealership I went to didn't seen to want to negotiate on prices. Anyone have a better experience?

I’ve been visiting dealers for the last two weeks and I’ve noticed they are stocking up their lots with mostly 4 cylinders and small cars. I asked one salesman why many dealers are not carrying many V6’s Accords and he responded they are saving space for the most fuel efficient vehicles due to the CARS starting on July 23th. Also getting good quotes on Civics especially over the internet it’s getting more difficult. I presume dealers want to get a big chunk of money from your CARS trade and aren’t giving away quotes unless you physically get there to make sure you whether you have or not a “Clunker”. Of course this is only my observation. BTW this is in the Chicago land area.

Is the $1000 marketing support for the Civic EX something new, or was that promo going on last month too? Thanks.

This is what it was valid until July 6. “$500 for Sedan (DX_VP, DX, LX-S, LX); $750 for Sedan (EX,EX-L,Si); $1000 for Coupe; $2000 for Hybrid Sedan.”

I also read on the Accord forum that the cash to dealer incentive cannot be combined with the special financing as of today. But don’t quote me on this.

Interesting. So looks like they upped the incentives for some of the models. What do you guys think August will bring? Also, Edmunds says that you cant combine dealer incentive with special financing.

2009 civic si coupe price by sibruin

I bought a si coupe with no options or accessories in last month. Here is my deal.

I paid $19500 for the car price including the destination charge. With all the tax and DMV fees(OTD) I paid $21600. (by the way I'm ignoring the last 2 digits of the prices since I can't remeber exactly..)
I didn't paid any kind of dealer doc fees but only those DMV ones.
I also got financed and it was 3.9% for 60 mo.
The tax rate here is 9.75%(LA) now but it was 9.25% when I took the car out.

Hi, I'm helping a friend search for a Civic Coupe EX automatic in the Los Angeles, CA, area.

So far, the lowest quote that I have received is $17,670 + TTL. I have not been able to find a dealer who will beat this price.

What do you folks think of the quote that I have been getting?

Thanks!

4 cyl Accords are much better sellers than the V-6's are so you will always see a lot more of them.

Dealers get no profit if you trade in your clunker. Jsut a mess of paperwork and hassle.

And, yeah, they have to make VERY sure your car actually qualifies. Some cars that we think should, don't!

2009 Honda Civic EX Sedan with Navi - Automatic by dolphnjag99

I have been dealing with five dealerships here in South Florida for this exact model (which some dealerships have four or five on their lot) and the lowest price I received out the door and including the $4,500 cash for clunkers rebate is $16,500 out the door, when other dealerships were coming in at $16,750 and more. is this a good price or can I do more for it. So adding back in the $4,500, it would be a total of $21,000 out the door. Any feedback from anyone on this price. Thanks.
