2009 Sedan EX-L AT MSRP is $22,225 and sale price is $18,650 plus tax, title, license and doc fee.

This is from Bemis in Dekalb. Valley in Naperville is within +/- $50 of this.

Just purchased a 2009 Honda Civic Sedan EX, AT in Cary, NC.

Sticker was $20,775 (including destination charge)

I paid:

$17,287 (including destination charge)
$398 doc fee
$74 registration fee
$518.61 NC sales tax

which came out to $18,277.61 OTD. So how did I do on this deal?

I have been shopping for a LXAT or EXAT in Minnesota and the best price I can come up with is $16,100 for the LX and $17,900 (Inver Grove Honda) for the EX. Anyone in the area who has found a better deal? Thanks

Looks like you were quoted a great price on the EX. I just picked up my 2009 EX coupe with 5 speed manual and paid 17,451 not including tax or fees but it did include destin. charge. Must say I am very happy with both the price and the car (so far). The dealer did not have the color I wanted and had to locate and pick it up, so that tells me they are doing whatever it takes to sell cars now. Good luck and enjoy your Honda!

Greetings, I visited all five dealers in the Minneapolis/St. Paul looking for LX or LX-S AT white. Out of 5, one Hopkins Honda said they did not have my color and let me go out the door. Brookdale wanted $16,600 for LX, $17,200 for LX-S, Inver Grove Honda wanted $16,600 for LX, Burnsville Honda wanted $16,900 and did not want to negotiate; Richfield Bloomington Honda said $17,500 is the best they could do without loosing their shirt, but when I pointed out that other guys could sell it to me at $16,600, they wanted to match the price without batting an eye.

I hope that I can hold out for $16,000 for LX or $16,500 for LX-S (destination charge included). I would welcome others in the Twin Cities to share their experience.

Thanks to all the good folks for sharing. Keep up the good work.
