I printed a certificate available at Honda.com and presented it to the dealer's F&I guy. He stared at it like it was a naked picture of Michelle OBama and declared he wasn't aware of any finance offers from American Honda Finance Co. (which I find really hard to believe). He disappeared for awhile then I saw him talking to the sales manager and the salesman who sold me the car. 45 minutes later he told me I got the desired financing at 3.9 for 60 months. I kind of got the feeling if I didn't have the certificate with me I wouldn't have gotten the financing deal. Just make sure you print that certificate and take it with you to the dealer. Good luck. |

However, you're correct that finding a better deal outside Honda Finance's 2.9/3.9 offer is next to impossible. If you are certain you'll qualify, don't sweat it. When I purchased my Civic, I simply told the sales person that, based on my credit, I expected to qualify for Honda's lowest rate (2.9 for 36 months, at the time); and if I didn't, I wouldn't be buying. I didn't have any problem at all. |

| Looking at getting a 09 Civic sedan LX and recently went to a couple dealers in the Boston, MA area. Best price i got was 16,500 in cambridge and salesman said "we might be able to do a little better". A burlington dealership wouldn't do any better and said they'd match the 16,500. Good price? anyone in MA have some prices to share? | |

I did my quote from Atamian on their website. They totally honored the quote and there was NO haggling. The sales person I dealt with was Jamie Gitshier and he was great. It dos not look like a mall when you go in there(the building is older), so I assume that is probably why they can offer low prices. Good luck!

After going thru the internet and getting quotes from all nearby dealers, I bought from the Borman Autoplex in Las Cruces, NM after being disappointed by the dealers in El Paso who didn't know how to close a sale for the life of them. The price of the car was about $17,900 after TX taxes and tags I was at about $19,200 OTD. El Paso Honda wanted $20k OTD and figured me stupid for a savvy internet buyer, I had offered $19,3 OTD to Rudolph Honda they were hesitant and I could tell it was going to take all day to get them there. I know people have been pleased paying about $18k (just the car, sans TT&L) and people from states with similar tax to TX were happy with $19,500 OTD, so having got it for $300 less than that I am very happy with my purchase. The best part was that Borman offered me that price and I took it that day. It was a nice drive up, the drive back gave me a chance to break it in. The other dealers had straight up LIED about Borman, I was in and out in about an hour and a half. If you live in El Paso, its worth it to go up there. I did not try Jack Key Motors, I figured 3 was enough to get me a good deal. |
