Replying to: sparkyb (Jan 19, 2009 10:53 am) I would say that $17K OTD is doable for that type of vehicle. I was working via email with 5 different dealers and the lowest started out with $16500 (DEST included); after about a week, my best offer was down to $16,100. With your 3% compared to 7.75% where I live, $16,100 + TTL should come out to about 17K or so. Anyways, only works if you have a bunch of dealers to work with. Some would tell me flat out, "I don't know why that dealer will sell you the car just to lose money....come back and talk to us if it doesn't work out" In the end, I bought the Si but was met with similar tactics. I was told that $20,200 for the Si I bought would result in dealer losing money. In the end, I bought one for $19,750 but it took a week of emails with various dealers. Sincerely

Replying to: rhunter1 (Jan 19, 2009 1:12 pm) I'm going to try the email shopping with various dealers in the DC/MD/VA area. I don't mind driving within a 100 mile radius to get the best deal. I may just go with the EX model since I had a 2003 EX that I was very happy with. I'm going to take a test drive but after that I'm don't think I need to be spending time driving to different dealers until I've honed on a final OTD price. Thanks, Ron |

I have been quoted the following from the dealer: Lease - 39 months, Selling price= 16,400, Manufactor Factor = 0.0025 and Residual Value .62. Monthly payment is 249, 0 down. Let me know if this is a good deal Can you please send me a spreadsheet of manufactor factor for January and February thanks

I am in market looking for a 2009 EX(new). The honda dealship near my place has a slightly used 2008 EX with just 3500 miles on it. The car has clean record and looks new! I am thinking of buying it instead "if" I can negotiate a good deal. After spending some time with the sales person, here are the numbers. 2008 EX AT with 3500 miles $16000 + Tax. Coming out to ~$17000 Any thoughts? Couldn't decide go for this or new EX? You help/comments are very much needed.
