heritage honda in westminster told me about it. bowie honda wouldn't mention it and when i asked, they told me the 500 had already been deducted from the $17, 200 final price they were given me. o'donnell told me the $16,800 includes the 500 and that was after i'd asked what about the $500 cashback. mileone heritage was the only one that mentioned it immediately when i called because i was looking for a 2008 civic and the guy said "you know with the 500 cashback that's going on now you could get the 2009 for the price of the 08".
Just ask you dealer and know that the cash back ends today.

you guys are right...i called the honda dealer in annapolis and his price was 17,400. when i told him the best deal i got was 16,8. he told me "you got no shopping to do. i wouldn't sell them for that much." i guess i'm closing the deal i have now.

my phone is ringing of that hook. i got a dealer who offered me 16.7 + splashguards so i was just about to leave. another dealer calls and tells me 16.800. i tell him i'm sorry i have to pass on his deal cuz i have something better that's closer to me and he when i tell him my current deal he asks if i take $200 off the price will you drive up here, i'm like yeah. well, he just called back in 3seconds and goes it's done. He's given me 16500 price + tags and taxes. he says my OTD price will be 17.7xx. it's definately a deal and i'm jumping on it.
This forum really helped me be a good shopper in terms of helping me know what deals i can get. thanks to all of you. peace out.

Thank you amking, that was really helpful. Good to know there is room to negotiate on this car. I'm glad to hear you sold your old car successfully on craigslist too!

The LX-S had some features that I really didn't want so that is why I went with the LX. Had problems with the alloy wheels on a previous Honda and the spoiler was not a big deal. Maybe their alloys are better now than they used to be. I was able to get my first color choice of the urban titanium.

I'm curious, what kind of a "problem" did you have with your alloy wheels?

Not everybody cares about the extras on the LX-S and for those people the LX will be just fine.

Had build up of dirt/debris that caused tires to go soft. Needed to be cleaned around the rims frequently to prevent this. Perhaps more of a problem in the Northeast with crazy winter weather than in other parts of the country.
