Woops, sorry. . . No, that price included destination only, less TTL. I don't have my paper work handy right now, but I even think it was more like 18600 and change. Not the best price, I know that for certain. BTW, while I was waiting for my car to arrive, I did go to another competing dealer who immediately offered invoice, but he didn't have the Urban Titanium, which is/was my ONLY choice

A well maintained well cared for Honda still in good shape does hold it's value extremely well, no debating that. Last year I sold my 99 CRV with 140K miles for $5800 listing it also on Craiglist in 3 days.

Actually, the vast majority of EX Civics sold aren't the EXL's. A lot of people have no use for leather especially in a Civic.

You won't save any money traveling to OR or CA. that is a bad rumor. We all pay the same for our cars. No incentive money on Civics.

This is my first time going to a dealership. I called a popular dealership and asked them the best price i can get on a 4-door,2009 honda civic lx auto transmission, His quote was $16,886 which includes destination charge.
Went to a different dealership to actually test drive the car. After wasting my time, their offer was $17, 329. After i told them i had a better deal at $16,886, their new offer was $17, 200 and when i said i was going to walk out, the asks me to wait, wastes my time again and finally comes back with a sheet indicating that the invoice price is $16,818 so the $17,200 i got offered is the best deal around. i thanked him and walked out.

iAnyway, I'd called a different dealership while this guy was wasting my time and he offered me something in the $17k range, but when i said i'd been offered a different deal, he asked how low and i said $16,800. He goes "if i offer it to you at 16,800, will you buy it?" i go "yes". so he puts me on hold, comes back and tells me i can have the car for $16,800 with the destination charge included with the price. The only fees are $99 processing fee which seems to be the same for the dealerships around here plus tax and tags. I did go to the dealership and the price was the same as he's quoted on the phone. i didn't try to renegotiate. I'm wondering if i coulda gone lower and had a better deal. Mind you the 16,800 includes the $500 cashback honda is having. is this worth it or can i get a better price?
thanks.

I want to buy a 2009 Civic LX with auto trans. I have an offer of
$17,123 + $300 tax + $199 documentation fees + tags for
a total of $17,698 OTD. That seems like a good price to me.
I keep reading where people are buying for invoice plus tax, tags
and fees. What is invoice for the Civic LX with auto trans?
