One dealer has a price of $19,400 + $55 doc fee, before DMV & CA sales tax. The posted cost is $19,111. Can anyone beat this? btw, it HAS to be a manual transmission!

You are not in a position of strength in that regard. In case it matters, remember, cars that are unpopular when new are even more unpopular as used cars. You may want to rethink the manual transmission you want so badly. |

Since I wanted a "manual" LX-S, which first of all was really hard to find in this area, even in some nearby states, the local dealership had to order it. Therefore, since they ordered it, there was no difference if I got the manual or automatic (manuals are cheaper for about 1000 bucks). If you really want a manual, got for it but keep in mind that there will be more options if you are willing to take an automatic. |

2009 Honda civic LX-S the deal quote me $18,500 OTD, is that a good deal?

Replying to: samanthaw (Dec 29, 2008 12:06 am) Could you break the 18,500 down? For example; TX has a 6.25% car sales tax, which increases the OTD price considerably...

Replying to: samanthaw (Dec 29, 2008 9:28 am) My OTD price was 18800 plus a free tint, auto sales tax is higher in CA than in TX therefore you are getting a better deal than me
