Sorry, I was not aware of the additional charge to cancel the original warranty and to buy the online one.

As far as service, as it states in the owners manual, a "lighted" wrench will appear on the dash with a code such as A1--that means it is time for the first oil change.

It depends on mileage and how you drive your car--but it should show up somewhere around 5,000 miles. No need to do it before the Maintenance Minder (MM) says to do it.

There is a button on the dash "select" that you can scroll through by pushing it and it will show you how much "oil life" is remaining. Most people change it around 10-20% remaining. Enjoy your car.

Coming in late here...

A Sales Manager will just turn you over to a salesperson. These guys don't do deals themselves. Even if this were to happen you wouldn't get a better deal.

That is one oddball car you are looking for and I'm surprised you were able to find one at all.

1. It's a leather Civic...not big sellers
2. It's white...one of the least popular colors
3. It's a manual. This makes it VERY hard to sell!

The dealer who has it knows all of these things and he knows you are after this oddball car. He also know you are probably pitting him against other dealers. With this in mind, it is very unlikely he would be willing to do a dealer trade to let it go.

On the other hand, he has a car that he may have been stuck with. He knows it's hard to sell.

I would drive there and try to strike a deal with that in mind.

Or, better yet, if you are more flexible on color or transmission choice you may get a better deal.

Just don't let a salesperson know you were trying to figure out a way to not pay a commission. This is how we make our living.

Good Luck!

Civic EX, Manual Transmission, Spoiler Price Paid by rkrigsman

I just ordered the EX w/ 5 speed transmission including rear deck lid spoiler (without brake light) for $18,553 in CT. This did not include paperwork and a small destination charge and some garbage window etching for $299 which they don't tell you about and is actually printed into the contract.

I don't know if this is a good price but a few other dealers I tried wouldn't really beat it however I bet they would have matched.

Let me know if anyone has any comments about this price.

Can someone please post the invoices for each trim level of Civic Si Coupe and Sedan? I found it frustrating that for some reason Edmunds still don't have that information available.

Takeitec, where did you buy yours? Great price compared to what I just paid (or at least put down $500 deposit on). I don't see the location in your messages. I may cancel my order if I can duplicate your pricing.
Thanks!

Local dealer internet manager offering new 2009 Civic LX for $17500 plus
$650 destination plus tax, tags and $399 "documentation fee".

Dealers seem to imply that internet deals are their best prices. Has anyone
been able to bargain down from an internet price?
