EX comes with a carpet mat. I got a good Michelin All season mat from Walmart, and other accesories from near by honda dealer and installed it myself. My advice will be first negotiate the price of the vehicle alone and check the dealer processing fee. By all the accessories from Bernardi Parts online and u will get instruction how to install them. Buy the Warranty from Bernardi ( If you get a price around mine u shud be fine.

I got a quote from one of the dealers in CT for 2009 civic lx 4dr auto sedan as $16100 (including destination fee) . There will be conveyance fee + tax + registration to get the OTD. Is that price a good \ better \ best ?

They also sells warranty for Honda and Acura. I learn all these only from couple of messages ago, but I made the mistake by purchasing from the dealer now I am trying to cancel the warranty and buy from Bernardi, but the disclaimer says that "If I have already purchased a warranty from a Honda Dealer and then canceling that to buy the warranty from Bernardi I got to incur $135 extra to match the profit of Honda". Trying to get away without paying this. |

It depends on mileage and how you drive your car--but it should show up somewhere around 5,000 miles. No need to do it before the Maintenance Minder (MM) says to do it. There is a button on the dash "select" that you can scroll through by pushing it and it will show you how much "oil life" is remaining. Most people change it around 10-20% remaining. Enjoy your car. Even if this were to happen you wouldn't get a better deal. That is one oddball car you are looking for and I'm surprised you were able to find one at all. 1. It's a leather Civic...not big sellers 2. It's white...one of the least popular colors 3. It's a manual. This makes it VERY hard to sell! The dealer who has it knows all of these things and he knows you are after this oddball car. He also know you are probably pitting him against other dealers. With this in mind, it is very unlikely he would be willing to do a dealer trade to let it go. On the other hand, he has a car that he may have been stuck with. He knows it's hard to sell. I would drive there and try to strike a deal with that in mind. Or, better yet, if you are more flexible on color or transmission choice you may get a better deal. Just don't let a salesperson know you were trying to figure out a way to not pay a commission. This is how we make our living. Good Luck! |

I just ordered the EX w/ 5 speed transmission including rear deck lid spoiler (without brake light) for $18,553 in CT. This did not include paperwork and a small destination charge and some garbage window etching for $299 which they don't tell you about and is actually printed into the contract. I don't know if this is a good price but a few other dealers I tried wouldn't really beat it however I bet they would have matched. Let me know if anyone has any comments about this price. |
