What is this "customer service fee"? I've never heard of such thing in California. Is that just a mark up from the dealer?

Thank you!

Exactly, just gravy for the dealership .thought i would itemize everything they were charging but would never accept that charge as part of the negotiated price.

You must be reading my mind, I am in the market for the same car (Honda Civic EX, 5 speed, Rally Red) and was looking to spend the same amount 17500. I live in upstate NY (by Albany) and so far the best quote I have got is 18260 not including tax and fees but with destin. charge. If you find a dealer willing to meet your price please post it on line and I will do the same. How about it out there, anyone find any outstanding deals on Civic's now that cars are not selling too well? The lease deals on them seem pretty good but I prefer to buy instead of lease.

What did you pay for your EX 5 speed? Not counting tax and fees as they may different in another state.

I tried online bernardi warranty and finaly when I was about to checkout, it says if you already have a warranty from a Honda Dealer (which ofcourse I have) and then cancelling that and buying this will ad an extra charge of $135. Is there any ways get out of this without paying $135.

Thanks in advance

Hi Steve,
I paid 17500 for the car which included Splash guards and dealer didnt charge me for that. The price doesnt include dest tax n tags and accessories. EX comes with a carpet mat. I got a good Michelin All season mat from Walmart, and other accesories from near by honda dealer and installed it myself.
My advice will be first negotiate the price of the vehicle alone and check the dealer processing fee.
By all the accessories from Bernardi Parts online and u will get instruction how to install them. Buy the Warranty from Bernardi ( bernardiwarranty.com).
If you get a price around mine u shud be fine.

There will be conveyance fee + tax + registration to get the OTD. Is that price a good \ better \ best ?
