I just purchased a royal blue 2009 Civic LX-S Sedan (automatic) at Honda of Ithaca in Ithaca, NY. The entire buying experience was great; they have excellent customer service. Price: $18,000 (+ TTL). Invoice price on the car is $17947 (including destination).

Got some email quotes to start with, best one yet is $18,893 including destination EX/Auto More as I progress into this buy over next three weeks.

Replying to: sinsd (Nov 01, 2008 9:12 pm) http://www.carbuyingtips.com/carintro.html There is a great Excel tool that I used: http://www.carbuyingtips.com/offer.xls With this information in hand, I first visited in person two local dealers and got their best quotes (these ranged from $18,500 to $18,800). I then emailed 6-10 dealers within ~100miles of where I live asking if they could beat the lowest price. One dealer about 100 miles away came back with a quote of $18,000. I then emailed back the local dealers to see if they could meet or beat the quote, which they did. |
