Abigail2,

I live in Dallas-Tx...Can you tell me the name of the dealer?
Unfortunately the dealers here in Dallas are not very cooperative.

I lived in CA about 45 minutes north of Oakland. Well, lets just say Oakland is not the best of cities....Maybe another area??? I have read many comments in this forum many of which were CA and didn't read any with this complaint. Just a thought.

Go back in time about 3 months and get it then? Seriously, it would be pretty difficult at this time to get that deal, since most dealers in TX are charging MSRP and up, thus making the OTD price even higher... We gave up on a civic and went for a corolla. Good luck though!

A reporter from a large newspaper is looking to speak to consumers who traded-in a larger vehicle for a small compact car to save money on gas, but spent money on options to get something more comfortable and appealing. If you’re interested in speaking to the reporter, please contact Chintan Talati at ctalatiedmunds.com with your daytime contact information no later than July 9, 2008.

so i picked up a new civic lx sedan last week. i was quoted 17,149 and with taxes and registration and everything it ended up being almost 19,000 out the door. the only extra i added was an alarm system. i also qualified for 1.9% apr financing for 3 years. overall, it was a decent deal.

also, i got quoted for 16,800 for a civic LX coupe.

i was in a rush to get the car so i didn't have time to haggle too much. so i think that these prices should be pretty easy to get.

good luck guys.

Try Rusty Wallis Honda in Dallas. We got a great deal from them back in December on a 2008 Civic LX Sedan. I contacted virtually all of the Honda dealers in the DFW metroplex. Rusty Wallis had the best price AND gave us what we wanted. They also had consistently positive reviews online, unlike many other dealerships in the area. I did all of the negotiating with Rusty Wallis via email.
