Do not buy the extended warranty from any Honda dealer if it costs more than $800. If you must get an extended warranty you can purchase one online for around $750 dollars that covers 72 months/80,000 miles. A lot better deal. And do not go for that "tires for life" program either UNLESS you plan to get ALL your maintenance done at the dealership where you bought your car. After reading all the exclusions and stipulations I cancelled the one I bought knowing I could never keep the terms of the agreement.

I've already purchased my civic and was curious what company you purchased the extended warranty from? I too didn't purchase from dealer.
Thanks in advance.

Purchased by internet from Riverside Metro Honda. $16,147 Including Destination, +Taxes,Fees. Stock LX, no add ons. Great service. Internet sales person communicated all prices (including Out the Door) by email. Plus, got American Honda Financing at 4.49%. I drove 50 miles and it was worth it. Very soft push on the HondaCare warranty. I think you'll be satisfied. I bought an Accord last year from Pasadena and the experience was superior in all respects at Riverside Metro.BTW it was Royal Blue Pearl.

Congrats on the deal. Glad to hear you had such a good buying experience. Who did you work with in Riverside's Internet Department?
This appears to be $837 below invoice (incl. destination), according to edmunds.com. What were the additional fees, if you don't mind me asking?

The California fees and tax. The DMV has an online calculator for that. Forum rules say not to post names but I can tell you that I used either Edmunds or Kelly Blue Book for the referral (I don't remember which). The internet saleswoman at Riverside responded quickly by phone then followed up with an email. She emailed her price right away. It took a couple of emails to nail down the final out the door price but it was honored and the service at the dealership was friendly and really low pressure. I could have used my financing but they beat it by 1 point. I hope that helps you.

Sorry, I've been looking through these forums long enough that I should have noticed the rule about mentioning someone by name - my apologies.

For the extended warranty look up either Saccucci Honda or Bernardi Honda - the first being the least expensive but the next right in line. Great to deal with. The same OEM Honda extended warranty that the dealers sell. You have a choice of plans to choose from.
Good luck.
