I don't have a scanner, but what I listed above is correct.

I went to Fort Myers Honda. They did not give me that price in an email. In fact, they where higher than most, but they are my local dealer. I went there, and walked out on their first offer. As I was leaving, the salesperson knocked on my car window with a better offer.

If you want the salesperson's name, send me an email.

Price paid for a 2008 Honda Civic SI with Nav, Summer Tires by lji1

I am looking to purchase a 2008 Honda Civic SI with Navigation and summer tires.

MSRP : $23,695
Invoice: $21,846

Are these SI's going at MSRP? Has anyone recently purchased an SI? If so, did you have to pay MSRP? In addition, is the 3.9% APR been extended to April?

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi does any one out there have any price quote in FL dealer for 2008 Civic LX....?

All I got one with ~ $18,000 OTD (Including FL 6% tax, dealer fee - $495, Tag title $105 etc)

I have seen some of the post here, with $17,340 (OTD).. Do you think I can ask those dealers to go down to $17,000 OTD? This means I am asking final sale price around $15,900 (Including dealer’s fees)

Anyone out there from FL to answer? HELP HELP Pleaaaaaaazzzzzz

I paid $22,000 OTD for mine. We have no State tax and registration was not included. Registration figures will vary here depending on if you transfer plates or not.
$22k I think was a good price for me and included a free oil change and gas fill up, haven't used them yet.

Thanks

What an interesting post! Please keep educating us buyers!
1) What do you believe constitutes the itemized difference between the manufacturer's invoice and the dealers' invoice?
2) What comprises the doc fee?
3) What comprises the dealer fee?
4) What dealer did you buy from?

I paid $21,599 for the car and $400 for the dealers doc fee. That's it.

Doesn't matter, since you will only pay for the car what the dealer will sell it to you for. If you think you can buy it for what the dealer does, by all means let me know how to do that.

2) What comprises the doc fee?

Total was $400, included all paperwork, a free oil change a full tank of fuel and a free inspection sticker. Plus at my first pay oil change I will get another free tank of gas.
Rip-off? Yep!
But at the time it was still better than any of the other dealers and I was in a position at the time where I had to buy a car that day.

3) What comprises the dealer fee?

What dealer fee other than the doc fees? I paid for the car and the doc fees. If you mean my registration that is not a part of the car since i had a 20 day temp plate and if I had transferred plates it would have been much less. So you'll have to define your question.

4) What dealer did you buy from?

Autofair Honda in Manchester, NH overall I have been happy with them. I could have bartered harder and got a better deal. I made them work for what they got and was happy with the deal. If you can do better that's great. I'm sure i could have gotten the price $500 lower but for me it really wasn't worth it.

I just picked up a 2008 Civic coupe LX M/T at JL Freed in Lansdale PA for invoice. He was willing to do 4 cylinder accords at invoice as well. I paid in full with cash and no trade in.

Price Breakdown
Purchase Price: $16067
6% PA Tax: $964.02
Tire Tax: $5
Tag & Title Service: $58.50 (new plates, not plate transfer)
Doc Fee: $55 (this will be the same at all PA dealers)

Total out the door = $17149.52

I had a very laid back salesman who was great to deal with and I would highly recommend. Once I mentioned I had already been quoted invoice online he immediately said he would match, no negotiations needed. He did not try to hard sell me on warranties and additional options. I can't post the salesman's name here, but if you're in the Philly area and interested, reply with your email address and I can give you the salesman's name and contact info.

Purchased 4/2 from Burne Honda in Scranton PA for invoice

breakdown:
Purchase Price: $20240
6% PA sales tax: $1214.40
T&T: $63.50 (they added a $5 encumbrance??)
new plate fee: $5
Doc fee: $55
Tire tax: $5
Online Reg Fee??: $26

OTD: $21608.90

with $4500 down, got 4.79% from Honda. Probably 3.99% + dealer profit, but I couldn't do better than 5.24% on my own, so...

Dealt strictly with the Internet Sales Manager. Very limited haggling, standard cliche sales tactics, but absolutely no pressure. Overall, a good experience.
