Good question, I don't think there will be any March incentives. I have a 5.2% blank check from Capital One but I'm trying to decide if I should wait until Honda has another 2.9% on Civics....unfortunately that might not be till Memorial Day or 4th of July or some other holiday time....who knows....

I have gotten quotes below invoice from Schaller Honda in New Britain, as well as Majestic Honda in Warwick, RI and Metro Honda in Johnston, RI.
My original quote from Westbrook Honda (closest one to me) was much over invoice but I called and asked if they would match the quotes from the other dealerships and the guy said yes.

hi I am new to buying a car so this is going to be my first car. I have been reading through this forum I would like somebody to tell me if the price I received for this car is a good price or not. I live in Chicago suburbs and I requested quote from 8 dealership around this area. the lowest price I got was 19,447 OTD which even includes my residence tax which is 7%. Can anybody let me know if I should go forward with this deal. I have already talked to their manager and he confirmed price as well.

A dealer which I ultimately didn't buy from sent me an email today saying that the 2.9% is available now for almost all Hondas. They said it was through Honda Financial and not the dealer. Semi-ticked cause I've had my Civic for two weeks now and then they come back with the special offer, lol. But oh well, doubt I would have qualified since it is my first car and don't have the greatest credit score.

Ex Coupe is $18590 Invoice+Destination. With 7% tax, the price is $19891, and you're yet to add $200-$300 or whatever it is in Illinois for Tag & Title. If they are willing to give it to you for $19447, you're probably $500-$700 under invoice which is really good. This assumes you're not losing money in financing or dealer taking your old car for whatever terms.

thanks for letting me know brick08 I haven't told them that I would be financing nor would I be trading in any car. I'll go ahead and talk to the dealership now, another question i have do you think I have any room to negotiate the price little bit more or do you think that the car dealer wouldn't go any lower than this price.

Thanks for the information. I've bought Hondas from both Majestic and Westbrook. I live about ten minutes from Westbrook and have have always thought they were way overpriced. I will use the internet and hopefully will get a deal below invoice. Thanks again.

I'd not know if they are willing to go lower or by how much. If you have anyone else quoting same or lower price, you can show that and ask them to match or lower it. Or you can take this dealership price to someone else and ask them to beat it. Neither party might agree to it. Or you can just ask them if they're willing to lower it anymore.
