| We purchased our new Civic and for the price we got snowed with, we could have had an Accord. Their excuse was "since your credit is bad, this is what you have to pay in order to be approved". Which doesn't make sense- why would they want us to take a loan out on even more money?? I am so incredibly ashamed and disappointed that I purchased this car. We worked with George- and I am shocked that he is able to sleep at night. Well, he probably sleeps well in the bed of money that he has from ripping people off. We were stuck and in a bind, and they saw us coming a mile away. NEVER go to Bernardi and if they give you George, walk out. We had visited Herb Chambers first, and they were shady off the bat. At least we knew we were getting shady there. Bernardi is SLIMY. Ric from Bernardi appeared to be genuine and caring, and then they hand you off to 3 other peeps and then you go to George's office. where WHAM they add on all these fees and services that you don't need and end up paying more than sticker price. And the kicker is that George said "I like you so much, I am including all of this for free". So I have learned that you don't trust anyone who sells cars and learn to walk away. They even pressured me to sign over the title BEFORE I saw the loan amount. Yes, I am that dumb. It was late and I clearly wasn't thinking. So yes, I allowed all this to happen. But I wanted to warn other people to avoid this dealership, and George like the plague. He had us so confused when we left there, and we signed things we shouldn't have. | |

I received four quotes from Internet Sales Managers for a 2008 Civic LX Coupe Automatic. Three of the four quotes are identical - invoice + destination fee = $16,800. Given that this is the first offer, I think I can do better. My question is, how much better? How far below invoice can I realistically expect them to go? (Dealer holdback, based on my research here, seems to be ~$550.) Thanks.

hi I am new to buying a car so this is going to be my first car. I have been reading through this forum I would like somebody to tell me if the price I received for this car is a good price or not. I live in Chicago suburbs and I requested quote from 8 dealership around this area. the lowest price I got was 19,447 OTD which even includes my residence tax which is 7%. Can anybody let me know if I should go forward with this deal. I have already talked to their manager and he confirmed price as well. thank you |

| Does anyone know if there are going to be any March incentives like last month's President's Day sale? A rebate or special financing would be great. | |

Replying to: evped (Mar 13, 2008 9:45 am) My original quote from Westbrook Honda (closest one to me) was much over invoice but I called and asked if they would match the quotes from the other dealerships and the guy said yes.
