Don't lease
Just buy My recent offer in Chicagoland for 2008 LX Sedan Automatic $17,800 OTD
I expect to get even better offer toward the end of the month.
I bought one of my cars Nissan AltimaGXE 2000 for $16,500 OTD on December 31,1999
I sold it (51000 miles) a few days ago for $7,600 I only invested $400 for gaskets and injector beside the periodic oil change

its easy to say "dont lease". the decision to lease is not the issue here, i have researched the pro's and cons and i have decided that to lease for the next 3 years is the best move.

Is this seller lying to me?

Q: How to tell when are car salesman is lying?
A: His lips are moving! (insert rim shot here)

It's just a joke!

Seriously, the reason the dealer wants to play payments with their customers is that why the customer has no idea if they are getting the best deal or not. They figure "I can afford $244 so I will sign the papers".

Invoice is $16,984 including destination, so if your price invoice destination and dealer fees that is a nice price.

The lease deal shown on the Honda web page is for a Civic LX AT and figures out to a 63% residual with a 0.00207 MF. I don't know if your payment includes tax or not and if so what the rate is, but $244 per month (no tax) equates to a net cap cost of $18,156. If your tax is in the payment and was 6% then the net cap cost would be $17,694.

Any GOOD dealer I have dealt with has no problem breaking down the numbers to make the customer happy.

The only lease make sense if you make huge milage and can wright it off the business
Otherwise you can not convince me why should you lease
You are buying for 18000 your return in 7 years will be around 50% back $9000 for Japanese cars Figure out how much you pay for leased car in 3 years with no returns but risk and back charges in case of damage or other crap written in contract

Boch Honda in Norwood will give you the lowest price, provided that you are a strong negotiator and won't back down from your original offer; (I bought a new Civic EX sedan auto in July from them for $17700). Bernardi Honda in Natick, especially internet dept, is easier to work with, but will cost you at least several hundred more.
