Replying to: jjanders (Jan 26, 2008 1:09 pm) I can reccomend a dealer if you want to go up a bit from Mass. I'm up in NH and got a better than Edmunds TMV price on my Civic Si. Autofair Honda in Manchester, NH. The Internet sales guy I dealt with (Keith) was great! I can't speak for the others but I got invoice on the Civic LX, EX etc.. same for the Accord and the Fit. The CRV is a bit above invoice as is the Civic Si. I was happy with the deal and have had great service from them. There is also Bernardi Honda in Natick MA. I was going to buy a Fit from them but they are just too far and I need a local dealer to maintain the car.

Replying to: vgur (Jan 27, 2008 8:34 am) Dealers will never publish true invoice price Who got so far the best OTD price for the following models ? 2008 Civic LX Sedan Automatic 2008 Civic EX Sedan Automatic Edmunds publishes the Invoice price and as far as dealer holdbacks and all that have fun, trying to figure it all out. All I know is they sell the cars for invoice and they ad a Doc fee which you can negotiate it's $399 but they won't lose a sale due to it. Look up Edmunds Invoice price on the car add in destination and that is what they will sell the car for OTD means nothing because if you are from a State with taxes you will have to pay those anyway. So the price you can actually buy the car for minute your taxes is the price of the car. My 2008 Civic Si cost me $20,999 OTD that is no other costs to the dealer. The Si was $500 over invoice. I don't work for them I just bought a car there.

Here is the deal. I am in the market to lease an 08 Civic LX Sedan. I have been in communication with a sales man and he offered me a 36 month lease with $500 down at $244 a month. I then replied and asked him to provide me with the break down of the numbers like would be on a Regulation M form. His response was instead of an email, a phone call and on the message machine he said that people just go by monthly payment, and that they just punch the numbers into the computer to get the numbers, and they really dont matter. What should be my next response? For $500 down at $244 a month is not an outrage, but I need to see the money factor. Im new to all this, is there a way i can find these with just the numbers he gave me? So far they are: Selling Price for LX Auto Sedan $16,895. $500 Down Payment for first month and motor vehicle fee's. 36 Months $244 a month. Any help would be great, thanks.
