Bought my '06 LX sedan AT from Maroone in Hollywood back in June of '06for about $17,000. but also had that dealer fee which they refused to negotiate on. Hear that Rick Case is even higher and don't even go near Coral Springs!! Nice car so ended up just paying the fees, as another Sentra or Corolla were ot of the question and the Elantra just didn't appeal to me. Now my oldest girl wants an Elantra...go figure. Wife already drives a Mazda 3s and didn't want the same car. Would've jumped on the Volvo S40 but the dealers were asking stupid money also.
With 12k on the odo now, can honestly say that I still love the car and am pleased with this decision and hopefully will keep it into retirement which will be anytime between 1/11 and 11/15 at this point. Am the primary driver on the car so should make it easily. Great car!

I'm in the Atlanta, GA area withTax rate of 7%. I started inquiring prices for Honda 2008 Civic LX 4-Dr Sedan Auto at the near end of December. The lowest written quote I got was for $18084 OTD price. Working with another Dealer, they verbally quoted me $17,700 OTD. My target is $17,500 OTD.

I'm now considering a used 2007 Honda Civic EX 4-Dr Auto (milage: 21000 manly highway miles) with Navigation and 100k Miles Honda Warranty for $17,500. I have seen the car and its in great condition. What do you guys think, is it a good deal?

I've been looking to purchase a Honda Civic EX when I came across a dealer who I negotiated a price of $17400 (including doc fee and destination)for a used Honda Civic EX 2007. It does not have the navigation system, but it does only have 8500 miles on it. Also, the previous owner bought it in May 2007 so the car is very much like new. Is this a good deal?
Thanks!

Why are you paying destination fees on a used car? For that price the car should be a Honda Certified used car. Keep in mind the dealer can still certify a used Honda that's been in an accident. So caveat emptor just like any other used car.

You're right, there is no destination charge. I was confused. It was initially certified, but to get it cheaper, they removed the "certified" label. With those miles and age, it's still under warranty so I don't really care much about the "certified" label.

Hi : Just purchased 07 Civic Ex w/Navi. 2400 miles, Certified, $18,000, car titled new July, CLEAN. Made the dealer an offer, telling Them upfront, its a used car, take it or leave it!!!! The internet makes it a level playing field for the buyer, can see what dealer has what, & bargain accordingly. Some dealers want to squeeze for every penny, some dealers make it on low prices, & VOLUME!!!

i don't think purchasing a used 07 civic for 18,000.00 was a very good decision here. considering that i recently just purchased a 08 civic lx 2dr coupe brand new down here in south fla for 17,500.00 plus TTT........although i have the lx model and not the ex with navigation buying new for the same price as used works fine with me.......

Thanks for all the advice and good reading here! I finally signed on an 08 lx automatic sedan for 16,990 plus tax, title and doc in Western Mass. The dealer was surprisingly nimble on the price, which seemed odd at the beginning of the month
