Hi, Just bought a Royal Blue Civic LX 4 door Automatic in Chicagoland. I just went to the Honda website, selected 8 dealers and asked for quotes. After sending out those I requests, I just went with the dealers who gave me a decent quote up front. MSRP (with destination): 18,395 Invoice (with destination) 16,984 I paid 16,550 which led to an out the door price (title, taxes, etc.) of just under $18K. I might have left a little bit of $ on the table, but I only tried negotiating for a couple of days via e-mail. It was reasonably painless once I arrived at the dealership -> took about 1/2 hour to get the car, but about 20 minutes of that time was waiting to get the snow washed off the car. Good luck getting a great deal!

I just scored the best deal. I've been reading all the information on prices on edmunds to find out how low I can get my 2008 Civic LX sedan. Thanks for all the advise guys and gals. I scored. I have a breakdown for eveybody 15,263.13 for the car 635.00 for shipping and handleling (i tried to get out of this one but they said no) 1316.13 for tax ( I live in los angeles county so my rate is 8.25%) 203.75 for California fee's and registration 55.00 for Documentation (i heard that it's from 35.00 to 55.00 but they said 55.00) out the door for 17,473.01 0 down 60 months finance 346.16 a month. Scored, Big Time Jack Meof oh yeah, I got it at Long Beach Honda, California. It was the last deal of the night. I got out at 10:15pm right before New Years.

Had them down to 18,200 on a fully loaded 4-door automatic EX (everything but nav system and leather) and added the wing spolier and ground effects package, which put me up to the mid $19s. |

i bought it on the last day of 2007. it is an ex with automatic transmission, no extra. the dealer gave a free package including the splash guard and wheel locks. I took a long time to do research here on the price and thought this should be the lowest I can get. but today another dealer just called me and said he can give me 200$ further discount than that. :s I am in VA and the tax rate was 3.17% in 2007 (i paid 540 for tax). i was told the new tax rate for 2008 is 1% or 2% more by the dealer of toyota and mazda but i am not sure. The retail price on my order is 17686$ (include the destination fee). Total OTD is 18600. Hope you can get a better price based on my experience.

But my deal was at least lower than two other offers I received. 18,303+ 549.12tax, 74 title, 398 doc fee (non negotiable) 19, 325 total It is a great car and fun to drive so I need to be kind to myself about it! |
