Replying to: kbteach (Dec 30, 2007 8:55 am) hi all. i am in upstate NY. the only other add ons are tax, $45 doc fee, $10 inspection, $12.50 tire reclycling, and license plates. i was pretty honest with them, said 'hey, ive done my research, this is the deal other people are getting, this is what i want, and ive contacted all dealers within 2 hours to find out who can do it. if you can, i can come out today'. no one could come close to this-- 18,500 was closest they could do. i was happy.

Replying to: kbteach (Dec 30, 2007 7:05 pm) This was in the greater Cleveland/Akron area. Two dealers by email were able to meet this price, and I went with the first to offer it. The other dealers claimed this was way below their invoice, and would not match.   To that figure I added only local & state sales tax.

Hi,   Just wanted to know if I should bite on this deal or if I should hold out for even more.   2008 Honda Civic LX Automatic Coupe MSRP 18,195.00 Invoice 16,801.00   Im getting the car for 16,401.00   Total drive out including everything is 17,650.40   Ive seen others get better deals but here in Houston its been tough to get below invoice. 400 below invoice is the best I have been able to do so far.   Good or not? Just bought my 2008 Honda Civic LX Automatic Coupe! Heres the breakdown...   2008 Honda Civic LX Automatic Coupe MSRP 18,195.00 Invoice 16,801.00   I got the car for 16,147.00   Total Out the Door price was 17,550.00! (including window tint)   650 below invoice was as great of a price as I could get in Houston.   If anyone, ANYONE is looking to get a new HONDA right now, head out to the new Honda Dealership in Katy! Email me if you need the name of the person I talked too, we agreed to terms over the phone, I went in and within 20 minutes we had the numbers agreed on and there were no problems whatsoever. Great dealership, maybe its because theyre new, but whatever the case, it was a great deal and im very happy with my new CIVIC!   P.S. you also get lifetime oil changes for free and a 7 year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty with every new car purchase!
