I am wanting to buy a civic EX in the NC area within the next few days and am looking to see what others are paying or have paid. I went to one dealer and really didn't get anywhere. Any input would be worthwhile. Haven't really tried putting it out there on line... in person vs. on line? "> |

| I purchased a 2008 Civic Ex sedan 5 speed for 17,500 in upstate New York. It wasn't that difficult because I had researched prices a long time both here and Consumer Reports. The report costs 14 but saved me hundreds. Anyway i pick up my car on Saturday. The taxes here are 8 % and the dealer fees with lic ran about 200. So out the door was 19,090 thereabouts. No matter where you are you can easily get these cars for invoice, which is in 17855.Tis the season for buying a car. Hope this helps and go out by the end of the year they are making deals you can't believe. Good luck. | |
| I forgot to mention that you can easily get quotes bt Email if you send out like to 6 in your area. You should get at least 2 right away, these should be invoice or close to it.Then visit the one's you choose in person and you can do better. I was pleased with how easy this process was. Also try to focus on one trim line and be flexible with cars on the lot. Most dealers near me were fully stocked with all colors and trim lines. | |

They matched the deal that I had with John Eagle with the most important thing being they actually had the car in stock. Dishonest John Eagle worked our deal for a week without having the car. After I was happy with the deal THEN they said they did not have the car and it would be 3-4 more days as they traded for one and I would have to pay extra for what ever "accessories" the "other dealer" puts on it. This was after we negotiated the price and I spec'ed out no accessories. They said they were working with the hopes of getting a new delivery of Civics in, which they had not. I dropped John Eagle, called your guy Hussein ans asked them to match the deal, which they did AND they HAD THE CAR! Had it done in a day and they delivered it to Burleson from Richardson. Good stuff. We never set foot in the dealership. If you are in the Metroplex give Lute Riley and salesman Hussein a shot. IF nothing else they have the cars on the lot! |
