For a 07 EX AT - No Nav. Nighthawk Black Added two options: Fog Lights Day/night rearview w/compass $21,729.68 OTD. This includes TTL. Website states MSRP $20,105. If I added the two options the dealership quoted, it would add $713 (includes installation) or a price of $20,818. Add TTL and that comes to apprx $22,270. From that view, I'm being quoted apprx.$540 below MSRP. I'm located in Grand Rapids, MI. Does this sound reasonable?? On the surface, it looks fair. But that doesn't mean I didn't overlook something.

Replying to: dwynne (Sep 18, 2006 1:31 pm) $19,800 including destination. Over this I paid 8.35% NYS sales tax and DMV/Registration Fees for an OTD price of $21,500.

Why would Honda still be building MY06 cars in September of 06? Normally I would not want to get a first design year car, but we figured this was "safe" because it is a factory fresh car and could not be any later build and still be on 06 - heck it is an 07 if you just changed that digit in the VIN Dennis |

2007 Civic EX Coupe Auto Galaxy Gray Metallic NO Navi. Only Options are pinstripe and Mud Guards. 3 Dealers are Price Matched At $19,995 Out The Door. I'm in the Northern North Carolina / Southern Virginia Area. Is this a fair deal for my area or Can I do better? Also whats the actual Dealer cost of this Particular car?

Replying to: blowjoe (Sep 25, 2006 4:48 pm) The invoice on this car is about $18,458 including destination. The mud flaps are worth maybe $100 installed and the pin stripes are more than likely worthless (if stuck on, just have the dealer remove them now - if painted on you are stuck with them). Subtract off the tags, title, and taxes from your deal and compare to $18.458 and then you can report how much over invoice you are paying. $20,105 is MSRP including destination, so you are below that for sure. I agree with Dennis here regarding OTD, cause nobody can beat Oregonians when it comes to OTD, since 0% sales tax in the state and last time I was there license tab was $36 for 2 years (not 1 year). The problem is that dealers tack on these semi-bogus charges. The one I've heard in the past and present, doc-fee, regional advertising fee, vehicle preparation fee, etc. Maybe it's time for "OTDMTL", Out The Door Minus Tax and License for the car plus those bogus charges

So I always have to make sure they are giving me everything in the price - as if I was paying cash and doing the title, tags, and taxes myself. Dennis |

We've done this for years here in Edmunds and I'm sure there are people like me who want to see it all. If someone isn't interested in every charge...skip that part. It's really not that hard folks. Let's not let a few in here try to fix what ain't broke! The Sandman
