Just got a price in West Palm Beach of $17,150 with an OTD price of $19,500. Seems like a great price...only $582 above invoice. Would love to jump on it, but won't have the cash till the 2nd week of June. This is for an LX with auto tranny in Galaxy Gray. Just tells me that I can probaly expect a similar price then, according to the internet salesman who I'm dealing with. A shame that when one sells stock, it takes awhile to get the proceeds. An dthe wife won't let me buy until I have the cash in hand. Already did the test drive so I know what I want and the color. Makes it alot easier. Would put a deposit down right now on a car for the middle of next month, but they want a sale now. The Sandman |

And then pay if off after your stocks fund! Do make one payment though to avoid a pre payment penalty. You'll pay a piddly amount of interest but so what? |

| so i have never used the internet to try to buy a new vehicle. reading these posts i thought i'd try it. i sent in two quote request to two local dealers from honda's website. i have one response for a 2dr ex w/o nav 5spd for $18710 + dmv fees, he said. now i haven't received anything from the other dealer yet but when i do should i tell them about this quote to see if i can get theirs lower? the qoute i have is for a rallye red one and the other dealer is to be getting an alabaster silver one. i really want the silver so i don't know how much back and forth i should do. also, some advice on my trader situation would be helpful. i have an '04 civic ex 2dr 5spd w/o side airbags. being that these are honda dealers do you think i could get more on trade than what kbb.com and edmunds.com says? thanks to all for your time. | |

You can do it over the web or call the number and talk with someone who will tell you which dealership in your area participates in the program. Then you can choose to get the rep's name and make contact yourself or have the rep contact you. When you meet with the designated Costco rep, he/she shows you the sheet that lists all the model trim levels with the discount (it's either an amount over invoice or an amount from MSRP). One thing I would tell you to make sure of is that the dealership is using the current pricing. I remember that somewhere on the sheet (I think near the top) it says something like this pricing is for the period of May "xx" through June "xx." So perhaps the amount of discount changes monthly. |

I had an agreement to purchase a Honda EX 4dr Auto for $20,183 from White Plains Honda in White Plains, NY. This was to be out the door price including tax, title state inspection, registration, etc. They worked their numbers backwards to get the $20,183 and filled out the sales slip. They had us sign it, and initial various boxes. Unfortunately one of the boxes states that the registration fee was an estimate. They are now billing me for an additional $75 because they figured it out wrong. I will never buy from White Plains Honda again. Has anyone else had this problem?
