There was no way I was going to spend another minute there. I had already spent entirely too much time there "negotiating" my deal. It shouldn't take all that "I need to talk to my manager". I had had enough. Especially since I didn't really need another car any way. I'm gald I had the option to leave.

Hey I just came from a Honda dealer and tryed to get a Civic coupe LX and they said i will have to wait 2 weeks to get it and also said that it is 20,000 plus tax wich is way over the sticker price. Just wanted to know if they hold on to the price that much were you guys got it from and if it took that long. I am in Naples Florida and i am hoping that maybe in Miami i can get it at an actualy resonable price like they are supose to be. I offered this deal to 10 dealers before it was accepted, sales is a numbers game and I decided to go through the numbers. You have many, many dealers down there from which to try to do business. Also remember that there was a $200 price increase on Civic LX's manufactured after 3/15/06 so add $200 to what was posted. This is a wonderful car. Best of luck.

with jph3006. I bought an LX 5M (MSRP $17060) last week for $16510 (includes delivery) with no negotiating. This isn't as good a deal as jph3006 got on his auto, but I only had a few hours to shop and both dedals are significantly better than what you are seeing. I took delivery the following day.

I am also very interested in buying one, but frankly the attitude of Honda salesmen seems to be that they don't have to deal because of high demand. . .seems like a car that has been out 7+ months would not be so scarce.   As I remember it, I think the invoice on an EX w/o NAV MT was maybe $1400 below sticker, making it 16,900ish (??). Wish I'd written it down.

It seems that it was enough to make just another phone call to a different dealer and allready i got a better deal from 21,800(very funny that number), how much i was offered in Naples, now i got 19,000 from a dealer in Miami, and now i am waiting for a call from Ft Myers, they said they have a royal blue EX in stock but they want to see how much they can give me for my trade in(i told them i can afford only 18,000 plus my trade wich i think its a grat deal for an EX). Replying to: viali_17 (Apr 03, 2006 8:10 am) Viali: I never got as good deal over the phone as I got in person when I actually went to the dealerships. Be VERY prepared to leave the dealership to compare prices with other dealerships and you will be amazed how well you do in negotiating. Good luck.

The funny part about my experience with the dealer in Naples is that i would have probably get the car if they would have gave it to me with 19,000 thats with taxes and everything but now i actualy see that i can get even a better deal, so i am kinda happy now that they offered that much specialy since i am not in such a hurry to get it Thanx for all the help

Replying to: viali_17 (Apr 02, 2006 4:35 pm) Two and a half weeks ago I purchased a Civic LX Coupe black manual transmission at Jerry Damson Honda in Huntsville, Alabama for 16759 which included the dealer add-on fee and etching charge. Prior to that add-ons, the price was 16,176. I recommend this dealership. I live in Nashville, Tennessee and I made the trip down to purchase the car. Do not pay more than list. If there is a dealer add-on (called by a number of names), your price prior to taxes should not exceed list. I could not find the product in Nashville, but one of the dealers I contacted through their internet sales discounted the car by $500; no negotiations needed. They do add $400 for dealer fee, but that brings the car to list.
