" I'm pretty sure that Honda Finance's fee is $595. "

What? $595 just to take out the loan with Honda Finance?

Isell, Can you confirm this? It sounds ridiculous.

If it's true, then I'm spoiled at my local credit union.

Honda Finance's lease acquisition fee is $595.. Not on a loan..

And, believe me... I didn't pay a doc fee, and it has nothing to do with it being a lease.. Every new car that I've ever purchased has been in Ohio...

I believe that doc fees can be regulated... but, I'd be surprised if they are required. I'm guessing the dealer told you that?

So if the 1 Si was presold and he is going to let me drive it if I not the buyer say I will pay MSRP. He is letting me put mileage on someone else's car? Bad dealer. If it is unsold as I understood it and I am seriously considering it I should be able to drive it. Was this car in question presold or not? If it free and I am a serious buyer, I should be able to test drive it.

If the car is unsold and I am seriously considering an Si, you should let me drive it. Period.

I can find a good Honda dealer not run by 17 year old dimwits who will let me test an unsold car. Guess which dealer would get my business? Also the next time I want one of the models (Accord, Pilot, Ridgeline, Odyssey, Element) that are lying all over the lot unsold, guess which dealership I go to? Definitely not to the Ford wannabe sleazeball dealership.

You get real. I drove a Pilot and Odyssey when they were brand new and super hot. When my dealer had an unsold model just off the truck, he let me know and I drove it. If this Si was unsold, a serious buyer should be able to drive it. If it was presold, a dealer better not be letting others drive it. I would be ticked at both the salesman and especially at the dealership if they pulled either of those sleazy tactics.

Go back read post #3248 so you can understand the discussion. There's one Si on the lot and it's available for "serious" buyers only. It's not pre-sold so don't go thinking this dealer is giving out test drives for something sold.

With so few Si's available and so many buyers looking, the dealer made a business decision. You may not agree with it but that's life.

I have about 40 Pilots and Ody's total. I dont care if someone drives those because I may have multiples of the vehicle.

I HAVE ONE SI AND EVERYONE WANTS IT!!

Correction.....it just sold. I had two customers bidding on it and it sold for 3995 above MSRP.

Ford dealerships wouldnt let you drive a Ford GT would they???
