Replying to: noahxue (Mar 15, 2006 9:51 pm) I am in Champaign, IL. One month ago, I got some quotes and the price at local dealer seems more expensive(16700+tax+TTL=18030)and hard to negotiation. One dealer in Decatur offer me like 16400+fee.Last weekend I went to test drive in Decatur and sit down to talk about the price. The OTD is $18700.(The saleman added some rediculous fee). I said that some dealer offer me like 17700, he said it is impossible. For me, the car seems so popular that the saleman don't want to lower their price to get a customer. After I came back, I try to call other dealers and ask the price, most of them say the LX will be about 19000. The price getting higher and higher. Then, I said my local dealer give me an quote 18038 OTD. Most of them said it is impossible. One dealer told me that "it is a good deal. if I were you, I will buy the car immediately, I won't waste my time to asking the price." Since the saleman said that, I went to the local dealer and buy the car in 10 min. Maybe it is possible to bargain to get the lower price. But, after all the frustrated processes. I just want to get a car soon. |

I have a question: Can I ask for some free service or "gift" from the dealer? such as free oil change or something else? I have no idea about it? Can someone tell me? I haven't paid for my car, I just paid a deposit and going to get my car next week.

Then a serious buyer comes in and doesn't want that one because it has miles on it. Either way you loose. You wasted time with the joyrider and lost the serious buyer because you can't get another one. People who buy this type of car are often very particular about miles. |

Some banks allow the dealers to mark-up the fee for extra profit... the marked-up portion is negotiable. I'm pretty sure that Honda Finance's fee is $595. regards, kyfdx
