This dealer is legit. I live in Tulsa only 50 miles away. When ODY was the rage at MSRP a few years ago, folks would fly here all over the country to get the then $316 over invoice price.

they are in Bartlesville, old oil capital of Phillips 66. So simple and honest there.
You get a free jacket for buying there and a nice pen. No gimmicks.

The dealer is known for integrity. Too good to be true? I bought 3 Odys there an Accord and a Dodge Caravan when the sold those-no more....

m-
Yes the doc fee is an astounding $49. Must pay for the jacket and pen with that.

Call their 800 number, ask for anyone and the deal is real. I am lucky to live in Tulsa. We got our 05 ODY there and always such a no hassle pleasant experience.

Many folks fly to Tulsa and the dealer will pick up at Airport and deliver painlessly.

Years ago when I was allowed to post contact info I sent about 30 people there nationwide (my motives we not so pure and used to get $50 referral fees. Now I just like to tell others in the hope that other dealers will be pressured to compete.

They even have all cars in an indoor showroom for protection. A hail storm wiped them out one year so insurance demanded it!

There will be people who still would pay MSRP and then some for the '06 Civic.

Just like those who paid MSRP + $3K to $6K more for the PT Cruiser and VW Beetle. I remember the first few week craze where in the used car classifed, people re-selling VW they just bought for MSRP + 3K.

Help me understand why compare Caravan to Odyssey.
It's not like people on this forum are hung up between Civic and Dodge Neon.

Why not compare Odyssey to Sienna?

Call me crazy, but if I were in the market for a minivan where my cap is the MSRP Odyssey, I would pay invoice for Toyota Sienna over MSRP Odyssey anyday.

Then try it sell it. I have a feeling that Sienna, which holds its value almost as good as Odyssey, that Sienna invoice was a better buy.

To me, Civic will still be a Civic. 2006 is much better quality car than 2005? Absolutely. But it's still a Civic. Value (quality for the money). That's the main reason for Civic sales.

Now you (mikefm58), are right when comes to luxury cars. For example, it's different ball game if you are talking about paying MSRP for the new GS430. Best bang for the buck in my opinion is not the main reason people are buying $50K cars. (On a side note, I have cousin who used to work at a Lexus sales. He said you'd be surprised how much more potental Lexus owner haggle over price than at a Toyota dealer).

If Honda wanted to charge quite a bit more from the get go, call is something else. It's not like they never done it before. Acura Integra became RSX and raised its price. Again, share many parts with Civic (Civic on steroids).

If you're looking for an LX SE coupe, I saw a black one on the lot at Ed Voyles Honda in Atlanta, GA last night. I was driving thru looking at the '06 models. You might want to take a look at their website and email or call them.

Hondas do hold their value exceptionally well, but that still sounds high. For $15k, you could buy a new '05 Civic LX 2-door (if you can find one in your area).

Where are you located? Would you be happy with an LX or only an EX? Coupe only or would you consider a 4-door also? Color preferences? I'll try and help you locate something if I can. I've got nothing better to do!

My friend went up north to work for the summer and needed a cheap run around car.Bought a 92 Civic with 225,000 miles for $700.00,car ran great all summer. He was offered $900.00 for it and sold it yesterday.I think that shows the resale value of a Honda Civic.

I was offered $14.5K plus TTL for a new 05 Honda Civic LX Auto Coupe with trunk mounted CD changer in Central Texas. Is this a good price? I need to make a decision by tomorrow.

P.S. - It is on the dealer floor with two miles on the odometer.

According to Edmunds, the invoice price on that car is $15,332 (assuming it does not have side airbags). Taking into account the CD changer, you would be paying at least $1,000 under invoice. That sounds pretty good to me, but I'd still e-mail all the dealers in your area to see if there are any better deals. Good luck!

I just bought a 05 Honda Civic LX SE coupe auto for $15,300.00 + 499.50 doc fee + TTL at Germain Honda in Naples,FL last night. They have a few models left from VP to EX in various colors and options. They are willing to deal on the price but not the doc fee.
