Bro, this is really a silly question. You got to go yourself and seat and test drive both. I sat inside a 2012 Civic i had to run away from it and seat in an Acura just to come back to senses.

I read so many reviews about it and 2012 is a much better car than 2011, and 2011 was a great car to begin with. 2012 is faster, more efficient and has more space, great car…………………but the interior was hideous in my opinion. Go to a dealership an test drive both, it’s not like you have to buy them.

I purchased a 2012 Honda Civic LX Automatic Transmission for $18200 from Ciocca Honda, Harrisburg, PA

In addition I had to pay

1. 6% PA Tax + Title Fees
2. $159 Documentation Fees {charged by the dealer}.

Sales experience was very good, I used 0.9% APR Honda Financing, Did NOT buy any accessories or extended warranties. The initial Internet Price Quote was $18400.

Your price for 2012 Honda Civic LX should be $18200 or lower. Given there is now a manufacturer rebate to dealer from Honda for $500. (Your range should be $17900 - $18000)

Regarding add on fees, you should plan for Sales Tax + Title/Registration fees for your state + document fees ($150).

Also take a look at Honda 0.9 - 1.9% APR financing - A Great Value

It's about the current market.

With supplies so low dealers can charge what they want.

If you can wait 3-4 months supplies should be better, and thus prices a little lower.

But if you can't wait, go for it. The civic is a great car. It's the size of the Accord from 25 years ago, and so really it's a mid size car at this point, if that makes you feel better about the price.

Sunitj - Yours is the second recent post with a Doc Fee of $499. That seems high to me. I recently purchased a new Honda Pilot (in Texas) and the Doc Fee was $189. The Doc Fee on our Civic purchase a couple of years ago was similar. Maybe for some reason that fee is lower in Texas...

I'd also suggest trying to get them to throw in the window tint and/or other dealer add-ons. If nothing else, it might make you feel a little better about the price. Just a thought...

Are there any alternatives to leather seats/cover that would help with keeping my dog hair off the seats. If there's one for Honda, Civic-2012, I can go with it and save some monay on that front.
