If you're impressed by Richard Lucas, you'll be very impressed with Flemington (parts dept. anyways). I did an oil change over the weekend and went to Lucas to buy an oil filter because I ran out. Didn't check out the showroom, but the parts/service section didn't seem too friendly. Flemington is over twice the distance and time for me, but well worth the drive IMO. -Dennis |

and bad things about Lynnes and especially Liberty. Liberty has great prices on mail order parts because they charge $92 for their "7500 mile service". Hello add-ons. -Dennis |

| I do not know about how Town Motors compares on cost, but they are extremely easy to work with. I have been using them to service and repair my '96 OBW since I bought it over 2 years ago, and will continue to do so. | |

Thank you to all who recommended this dealership; the knowledge base there is obviously quite extensive, and they really seem to treat customers with respect. Its far, and I dont know if I can make the 40 mile trek every 3750, but I would sure love to be able to. I will be back soon however- they could not determine the cause of, or correct, our Legacy's very tempermental stereo. Thanks again Joe |

| we bought our 05 OB Bean at John and Phils in Corvallis, they were great.Does anyone have good things (or bad ) to say about their service department? Does anyone from Salem to Eugene want to comment on the Quality of their local Subaru dealer? | |

Anyone have service experience with dealer or independent in this area? Montco, Delco... Main Line area of Philly suburbs. I bought an 03 OB wagon from Rafferty, but wondering how they or others are for service. Also, if anyone has knowledge of an indpendent in the area who would do a good job working on my OB. Thanks!

Replying to: kellerc4 (Feb 15, 2005 7:12 am) I've bought 4 Subarus (3 new, 1 used) from Bob Rafferty (parents bought 2, brother bought 1). I wasn't that impressed with their service on my '89, it was OK on my '93, didn't use them for my '96 (used Roberts in Downingtown). I took my '03 in for warranty service in September and was impressed that they fixed everything that I reported (hestitation on warm start, brake rotors warped, cruise control not working). My parents and brother have had recent service performed at Rafferty's and they were satisfied. I believe they've been an exclusive Subaru dealer since late 2001 / early 2002. They used to also have a Pontiac / GMC franchise. I think the service has improved since then. There's an independent Subaru specialist on Market St. in West Chester. I think it is Gottier's. I've never used them for service but have spoken to them and have heard they have a good reputation. DaveM

Replying to: dcm61 (Feb 15, 2005 9:31 am) I have no experience with them other than the purchase of this used 03 Outback, but we will see what comes. The car seems to run hotter than I would expect, and the idle jumps between 500rpm and 1000rpm for reasons I do not understand. I will inquire when it goes back this weekend for some "We Owe" items. Thanks for the info. |
