I love Carlsen Subaru. I have taken two Subarus there for service in the last three years and have been nothing but delighted with the sales and service. I have written SOA several letters commending Carlsen. They have done much warranty work on my '01 Forester and never balked. The work was always done right the first time, on time, courteous, professional. Granted, I think I got a dink of a car that it had so much warranty work - either than or I'm anal. But they were perfect about fixing it no questions asked. I have to start actually PAYING for stuff soon or I'll feel guilty. But highly recommend these guys - they know what they are doing. I only wish they'd let me take my Honda there! Elissa |

Kudos to Fitzgerald Subaru in MD for a nice open house yesterday, we got door prizes even for the kids. They fed us and had speakers talk all about the new Legacy. -juice |

Looking for a good Subaru Service Dept in Central/Southern NJ. We purchased our vehicle at Richard Lucas in Woodbridge, but that dealership sees a ton of Chevrolets, so Im not so sure they are the most well equipped to work on Subarus. Any thoughts? Much appreciated! happy motoring Joe

Replying to: alpha01 (Oct 20, 2004 6:20 pm) I've tried my share of dealers in this area and nobody comes close to their service. I'm in Northern Middlesex county and they're definitely worth the trip. -Dennis

Replying to: bluesubie (Oct 21, 2004 5:10 am) Out of curiousity, what did you get at Richard Lucas? I took a test drive there, and was told they are trying to build up their Subaru side of things. Mark |

| I third that opinion... Flemington!!! | |

Thanks so much to everyone. I will have to look into setting up an appt soon, we're approaching the 3000 mile mark. Richard Lucas did a dealer swap for us; we wanted a Regal Blue Legacy 4EAT Sedan with rear spoiler and auto dimming mirror. They didnt have one, the dealership in Morristown had one coming... waited two weeks and they got it for us. Very easy purchase, but that might be because I had the Subaru VIP eligibility through my employer. I def. recommend Richard Lucas Subaru overall. Not the prettiest place, but family owned, I believe, which is kinda nice in the Wal-Martified world in which we live. On another note- when is this car going to be broken in? I expected better acceleration. VERY flat footed off the line. Our other cars arent speed demons, but they move out much more smartly than this Legacy. OTOH, this car has good highway passing power, and the kickdowns are fairly quick. Again, thanks for the recommendations. Happy Motoring to all! ~alpha |

If you're impressed by Richard Lucas, you'll be very impressed with Flemington (parts dept. anyways). I did an oil change over the weekend and went to Lucas to buy an oil filter because I ran out. Didn't check out the showroom, but the parts/service section didn't seem too friendly. Flemington is over twice the distance and time for me, but well worth the drive IMO. -Dennis |

Hi What is the best subaru service center in northern nj for cost and knowledge. town motors, liberty subaru, lynne's subaru, ramsey subaru, bill kolb jr subaru etc. thanks Khyle |

and bad things about Lynnes and especially Liberty. Liberty has great prices on mail order parts because they charge $92 for their "7500 mile service". Hello add-ons. -Dennis |
