Replying to: spudman (Oct 24, 2002 12:08 pm) Annapolis Subaru's service department is open on Saturday and, after they serviced the vehicle, they made an entry into my service log at My.Subaru.com. At Wilkins Subaru the prices for services are cheaper than at Annapolis (Examples from Aug.'03: Labor: $80/Hr At Wilkins they will will give you a ride home and pick you up in a courtesy shuttle when your car is ready if you live in the Glen Burnie area and the service is going to take more than a couple of hours. A few months back, Wilkins couldn't work on my car on the day of my appointment, so they gave me a loaner car the next day when I came in for service - The use of a late model Forester for the day. Sweet, considering that I drive a used Subaru, purchased elsewhere. My choice of dealers is clear - Wilkins. Their prices are often competitive with other area repair shops, they have always treated me well and they are the closest dealer to my house. They have never logged any of their work on my page at My.Subaru.com, but I can handle that myself. |

| A number of you have mentioned that you have had good experiances at Flemington Subaru. Just recently I brought my 2002 Outback VDC there. It has on it 26k miles, and the usual warped rotors. Although they did not put in new rotors, they did cut them, and replaced the pads all around. They adjusted the emergency brake, and repaired some other minor concerns. They also located a noise from under the steering wheel, they ordered some kind of sensor and they will install it next week. I realize that cutting the rotors probably will not last, they indicated that if it becomes a problem beyond the 36k warrantee that they probably can still work with me. What a far cry all this is as compared with the dealers I have gone to in Staten Island, and others in NJ. These local dealers look to charge diagnostic fees for many things that should be warranty. I have never paid a diagnostic fee at one of them, but they have told me I would have to if they looked into noises, or charge me for repair of anything that is a consumable item, such as brakes or adjustments. At Flemington Subaru they for the most part consider it to be a bumper to bumper warranty. It is really worth my while to have certain repairs done at a dealer where they actually appear to care about quality. It is aprox. 66 miles from my home, takes just over 1 hour to get there. | |

| I'm in process of purchasing a 05 legacy and wanted to know if anyone out there had any recommendations for dealers in this area | |
| Have been very happy going to Exclusively Subaru in Ontario, CA. They have fixed a couple of issues I had with rattles in my car, and were friendly about it too! Just had to add that. | |

I have to agree that they are well worth the trip. That reminds me, have to give them a call. Mark |

We just moved to Rockland County (New York) from Texas, and would appreciate and pointers regarding Subaru service shops (NY/NJ border). We have a 2002 Forester and it just got off warranty. Thanks in advance!
