Are you able to adjust balance and treble/bass without the display?   I'm sure the fix is either expensive or if its do it your self probably have to dissassemble the dash and don't know if its the display or some other part??

Replying to: snow_starghost (May 31, 2006 5:24 pm) I had a transmission issue (2003 eclipse) as well the shift from 2nd to thrid was delayed and balky (jerky) about 50+K miles on it at the time. I took it to the dealer, fortunately the Transmission is under warranty till 60K so they put a rebuild kit in it (probably identified as a problem with those cars so they already knew what it needed), This did not fix the issue but I drove it for 100 miles to see if it would smooth out. Took it back and they "reprogrammed" the transmission computer and it was smooth after that, very nice. I have over 60 on it now and I've noticed some slipping from a stop or when first starting out. BTW I baby this car no heavy accelerations or high speed stuff, trying to save gas (I get 29mpg), with 4 cylinder). I'm begining to wonder if this car is really going to be able to last 4 more years , when I plan on replacing it.. The box is to help get air into the engine I imagine.. My radio display failed as well just last week.   Get it into the dealer before the warranty runs out though.

MY 90 ECLIPSE AWD GSX 2.0 TURBO TICKS THE SOUND IS HEARD NEAR THE VALVE COVER IT GETS LOUDER AS IT GETS HOTTER AND THERE IS A LOSS OF POWER ON THE HIGHWAY BAD MY CAR LOCKED UP ON ME BUT STILL CRANKS OVER BUT WOULDNT RUN I THAT IS WAS A ROD BUT I READ ON AND COULD BE A LIFTER OR MAYBE INJECTORS I TOOK THE OILPAN OFF AND EVERY THING IS NICE NICE MY CAR HAS 168,000 MILES I DONT KNOW WHAT IT COULD BE

Last night 8/7/06 I had to replace the battery in my 2002 mitsubishi eclipse rs. After replacing the battery I find that my eclipse will not idle normal, it will start out decent and then fall below 1000rpm and eventually die. it was not doing this until the new battery was installed, I am totally baffeled any and all help will be greatly appricitaed! Replying to: erickosley (Aug 08, 2006 7:46 am) I'm having the same problem with my 03 my dealership mechanic thinks it has something to do with the alternater, but I'm not sure that that is the problem because it also idles lower when the A/C is turned on, however my car doesn't idle low enough to stall, if anyone helps you out or you find something out before I do please let me know, and if I figure it out I will be sure to do the same

Hello. I'm looking at 2 cars, trying to decide which to go with. Both are '03 Eclipses, one is a convertible GT with 43K miles and the other is a GS coupe with 17K. Any thoughts or suggestions - comparisons???? Thanks! -C
